"We stopped by for coffee and cake and stayed for lunch :), the service is great and the meals are so well thought out all the flavours are excellent. We come often and the service is always of a high quality, we try the new items and the specials and are always amazed at the tastes and textures.Today Hubby got a bucket of chips (crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, well seasoned) and I had the Calamari ( no trouble to have without the salad) just on its own as we had had our coffee and cake first :)"

"Arrived just before closing time on a Wed afternoon. Quickly ordered bucket of prawns and chicken/rocket salad. These came out within 10 mins and were both delicious. Only thing we could possibly fault was no sauce with prawns and no butter with bread, however salad was exceptional! Waiter behind bar was very helpful in drink suggestions. Lovely location and a very pleasant dining experience."

"We were showing relatives around PERTH and decided to go for lunch at this little cafe and winery. It is one of our favorites in the Swan Valley and is uniformly good. You can sit outside whilst you eat and gaze across the vineyards, whilst eating food from a small but tasty menu. The wine tasting is free (as is postage within Australia). We tasted a pleasant Malbec and a nice Shiraz. The Malbec complimented our meal perfectly. We ordered duck confit and pasta with tomatoes, spinach, cheese and pine nuts. All meals were well cooked and prepared while you wait, which makes the service a little slow. The cost for two courses, coffee and wine was about $50 per head. Whilst the restaurant was pretty empty on this occasion, it does get busy in the warmer weather so it is prudent to book. The outdoor area is suitable for disabled people (didn’t check the bathroom). Parking is sometimes a problem due to overflow from the restaurant over the road."

"We were driving past Elmar's in the Swan Valley, and my wife remarked it's been along time since we were here last. We called in for lunch and found the facility had under gone major changes since our last visit. The food was very good...and wholesome. The decor stunning, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would recommend that you visit Elmar's in the Valley at the earliest opportunity. Les and Gwyne Marshall."

"After driving in and out of a couple of highly recommended (and too commercial) wineries with restaurants, we got lucky with Black Swan on a rainy Sunday. We were moved to a table by the window when it became available - perfect for our first ever Swan Valley experience. Food was delicious, service great and the sommelier recommended other local vineyards to visit which topped our afternoon. Overall excellent experience and highly recommend."

"This is not our first time to this winery and probably not our last. My husband had booked lunch here for my birthday along with some friends.If you want silver service and a five star restaurant you will be disappointed but you get so MUCH more. The menu is a basic but very good, along with dishes to share. This is table service which was a bonus. While we were waiting for our food we was going to do a tasting but told to stay at our table and the owner brought the tasting to our table. Now that is service. Plus the knowledge about the local area and history was excellent. Don't be in a rush or by pass this establishment. You won't be disappointed"

"My brother recently married here and it was excellent. Excellent management, excellent food and the one waitress was exceptional - Nadia. The wedding was lovely and went off without a hitch, and the staff and management assisted everyone with kindness and professionalism."
