"We, a couple with a young daughter decided on short notice to spend the Chinese new year holidays in Fiss. We are truly overwhelmed with what the Schlosshotel is providing for the perfect ski holiday. Coming from Asia we are somewhat spoiled and have very high expectations of top class resorts. All aspect actions are surpassed by our current experience. Our suite in the old part is very well layed out, vey spacious, comfortable and well thought out. Great King size bed, lounge area, balcony, separate rom with 2 single beds and a great bathroom with separate toilet, shower bath and three sinks. Service is outstanding, personal, friendly and always concerned that all wishes are met. Staying on half board , meaning that breakfast and dinner are included, we were vey surprised that in addition to these main meals, a snack is offered from lunchtime to late afternoon. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, offering a huge variety of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, eggs any style, fresh bread, juices, in short everything in a great variety, well presented and fresh. The so called afternoon snack is actually a slightly downsized salad bar, hot dishes, soup, fesh bread again, unlimited soft drinks, fresh juices, you name it ....a snack ? And then there 's is dinner. Endless variety of lettuce, appetizers, breads, desert ice cream buffet, a huge variety of cheese, all on top of the served appetizers soups main courses, deserts, all of which are a choice out of 3 4 options. Great selection of drinks, wines , spirits complement the excellently presented served courses of dinner. If I am raving about the food, I don 't know how to appropriately describe the wellness area. Gym, Spa, three different steam rooms, sauna, rest area with complimentary refreshments, cold drinks, variety of healthy teas, just much more than I would expect from a five star resort. And then there is the huge indoor outdoor swimming pool, with a variety of water jet massages on benches, underwater loungers and a large outdoor, hot salt water jacuzzi with massage jets that can easily get all kinks out of your muscles following a day of intense skiing in the spectacular setting of the Serfaus Fiss Ladis ski area. In the hotel there is a ski shop with rentals reserved online prior to arrival, very helpful staff assisting in anything from solving painful ski boot problems to changinging the up to date equipment without a problem, if something is not suitable. From the shop in the hotel there is a lift gettingnyoundirectly to the slopes, a true ski in ski out facility. The only very slight down point, which is actually not the fault of the hotel, is a part of the clientele albeit a very small one. Similarly to the ski lift gondola queuing there are always people that seem to have a fierce determination to get everywhere first and get everything faster than others, barging in to line ups not looking right or left with no care who they are cutting off at thenvbgenerously spaced buffet counters. It is a small group, yes but it unfortunately puts a dent in the otherwise casual, friendly, civilized athmosphere normal and relaxed people cherish particularly when on holidays. To sum it up, this place is just great, and every Euro spent to us is more than worth it."
