"After a reasonable walk on Mont Vully we decided to have lunch in the hotel/restaurant.View from the terrace was fantastic. Murtensee with Murten and the Alps beyond. One of the great panoramas on Switzerland. A very nice place to enjoy good food. We had lunch on the terrace. Very relaxed. We had steak and lamb on the stone. Both fantastic.Very expensive (for us Brits) at lunch, but the best meal we had on this visit to Switzerland. Well worth the extra cost. Would recommend to anyone."

"On short notice we contacted the owners for a special celebration lunch with food that would remind us of our great motorcycle trip a year ago. What we got was breathtaking. As a starter a risotto with crab meat and vegetables served in a deep...black dish perfectly cooked and wonderfully presented. The main dish was wild salmon on asparagus and spring onions with fresh Canadian mushroom and blue mashed potatoes with a foamy lightly buttered sauce (see picture). Best salmon I ever had. The dishes were accompanied by tasty local wines from the vineyards right below the village. Sunshine, view of lake Murten and the Swiss Alps and great food, this is the place where you can get it all."
