"Four of us stopped here for lunch. There was only one table left outside but there were only 2 seats at it. We really wanted to sit outside as it was a beautiful day. The waitress quickly brought two seats from inside for us and...gave us menus. My husband and I both had burgers which were really lovely. Our friends had shrimp salad and spaghetti carbonara. Both enjoyed their meal."

"We just left the town of Monchique around lunch time on our way up to the top of the mountain. We drove past Rei Do Piri Piri and when we could, we turned around to go back there for lunch. What caught our eye was...that the restaurant was all in glass overlooking the whole of the Algarve. Because of the location and the overall looks of the restaurant it was cantilevered out from the mountain, I thought that this was going to be really expensive, but thought it was worth it considering the great views. To our surprise we were told that the lunch special for 8 Euros per person was a complete meal of black pork (the loin portion). It was a no brainer so we ordered it. We couldn't believe what we got: a nice sized platter of pork, (all platters were the same size), platter of fries, platter of salad, rice platter, a basket of bread, bowl of olives, and a half liter of wine. At the end of lunch we had espressos which were also included. The lunch was very good. The pork was tasty but could have been a bit more tender. I hate leaving food behind, but there was no way we could eat it all. We were also surprised that the bread and olives were included because there is always a separate charge for these items in Portugal. Bottom line: a great meal with amazing views. We would definitely come back here again."

"On the way back from monchique we keep in this cozy restaurant on the side of the road. the best home boiled food I ever had, grilled fish and grilled huhn was amazing. the sweet side and kartoffels were very tasteful. great service and great desserts. to all homemade from the owner. if you like large honestly cooked food a great service and great worth, I very recomend this place."
