"Visit to 26.03.2013 Our second visit to the “KostBar am See” confirms the positive impression that the kitchen and service had left the first time on 17.03.2016 (see 1. We tried steaks, once as “STEAK WITH BLUTWURSTKRUSTE” (19,90€ and once with red wine jus. The meat comes as mentioned in my first review from the butchery Braun from Konken, a guarantee for good quality. The steaks served on large preheated plates were approx. 4cm thick, about 300gr heavy, finely massaged and very aromatic, beautiful delicate and juicy, as desired a point medium roasted, simply perfect. In combination with blood sausage crust I did not know Steak yet, for this original variant the cook deserves a special praise, even the intense red wine jus harmonized very well to the meat and the tasty pink and golden brown fried pommes, also very tasty the side salads. We were completely satisfied again and the small restaurant at the lake is acquainted with this second visit to one of our favorite locals."

"Here you must definitely go to eat!The pizzas were super delicious, the kids had the tomato soup that was also class. There were enough pizza rolls and the salad was great! The dog immediately got a water bowl and the operation often came by to react to such a rising desires."

"The restaurant has been in new hands since May 22, and we felt comfortable here. Small but appealing card as well as large ice selection. Our carvings were super delicious, and there was a salad from the buffet. The owners are very attentive and friendly, absolute recommendation! Price/quality ratio 1A"

"I happened upon this restaurant by chance on a Sunday afternoon drive through this part of Saarland. There are not many restaurants in the area so I was lucky to find somewhere serving reasonably priced local produce. I chose to eat outside to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and watch the world go by. Although I dined outside I can say that the interior of this restaurant is comfortable and in keeping with the historical appearance of the building. The staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable about the food they serve. My first language is not German so the waitress that served me was most helpful in helping me to select my food. I would highly recommend the mushroom soup and roast beef salad. The menu is not extensive but still offers a good choice at reasonable prices. If I return to the area I would definitely visit again. I really enjoyed my meal and the hospitality I was shown."
