"Try the first time here under new management. booked a table for 3 people at 7.15 no problem sat down waitress asked if she could get us drinks ordered 1 bottle of wine and 1 big koks. soaking came immediately to wait for 50 minutes to order to eat finally got fed waiting and cries the wait waiter by. asked if we could order food, she told us that she must take the order to be the manager, ok could they ask him to take the order after another 25 minutes he appeared, starter did not come a problem, then the net ordered steak with seasonal veg can eat mistakes as it was beautiful"

"Yesterday we decided to give the New Gulistan a try and placed an order at 5.10 for a set meal for 2..We patiently waited until 6.20 and then my husband called to cancel the delivery only to be told it had already left and was on its way. At 6.50 after it had been cancelled,the delivery guy knocked at the door with the food, which had to be freezing cold after being driven all around for more than half an hour.We live 600 meters away from the restaurant. Disappointed is an understatement, we heard good things and now well never get to try it."

"Fortunately I live nearby and eat here frequently, the food is great massive portions with plenty of choice I recommend the yang yang chicken starter the pakora chicken is also very good and i’m always tempted by the famous chicken curry with rice and chips...you need a big appetite to demolish this plate and it’s very authentic with a kick to it. Burgers are cooked to perfection and for the traditionalist there usually always a roast, steak pie and the home made mac n cheese is always a safe bet. For desert it’s. got to be the old fashioned knickerbocker glory that’s if you have enough room left. Young bright and cheery staff a good atmosphere and buzz about the place probably best to reserve in advance as it’s a busy pub. Great selection of gins whiskey and cocktails my fav is a lively pint of tenants lager."

"Well well well.... After I tried to phone to what has been my regular chinese since sacking this as my regular and failing to get through I phoned the ocean. I got my usual breast of chicken curry and fried rice with no onions and...that was beautiful, it was delivered fast so no complaints there. So tonight after again trying to phone my new regular tonight and failing I again called the ocean and ordered breasts of chicken curry and fried rice with no onions and sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The woman on the phone repeated the order to me and got right so no blame attached to her. What I received was a complete embarrassment of an order with two very runny/watery spicey currys with onions and chicken balls you could smash windows with. Only good thing about tonights curry was completely hair free! sorry but it was terrible!"

"Such a lovely hotel, filled with very friendly and accommodating staff. We received a very warm welcome at reception when we arrived, the girl behind the desk was lovely. Then we went for dinner and the staff in the restaurant were amazing, so helpful and made sure we have the best evening. 10/10 will definitely return to this hotel"
