"Rien de spécial à signaler lors de notre commande de deux boissons avant une partie de mini-golf.Puis nous revenons pour dîner. Nous demandons deux galettes qui nous sont servies rapidement. Elles sont bonnes et très bien garnies. Seulement, la serveuse peu amène (une corbeille de pain ne nous a même pas été proposée), ne nous incite pas à continuer avec un dessert. Et il nous a fallu attendre un peu avant d'obtenir l'addition.Dommage."

"Arrived early off the night ferry from Portsmouth and was disappointed to find that the restaurant did not open until The Carrefour hypermarket next door was even worse, not opening until A lot of waiting around resulted until I could get breakfast and...do some necessary shopping for a self catering holiday home. That said the McDonalds was Ok and the touch screens mentioned in previous reviews are now operated by staff who were helpful and spoke English. The Hypermarket is fine though the other Carrefour Hypermarket to the south of Caen at Mondeville is even better."

"We found this restaurant whilst on a budget holiday to Normandy. Having looked all over town, we saw a sign opposite the restaurant saying a Prix Fixe menu was available for The menu included a buffet starter of standard French fare (paté, saucisson,...salade niçoise, etc), a main dish of either fresh fish (from the local fish market), steak frites or the plat du jour, a desert or cheese, coffee and a bottle of wine. All great quality (mainly local) produce and really tasty. There was an extensive menu available if the Prix Fixe didn't whet your appetite. No one really spoke any English, but the French waitress and Chinese waiter made an effort to explain in simple French most of the menu if needed. Having had such a great time there on our first night in town we returned two more times. A mixture of locals, other Frenchmen and women and tourists were eating there and all contributed to the wonderful ambiance and character of the restaurant. From the outside the restaurant doesn't look at all grand, but it is well worth taking a chance on."

"The menu was promising nd food looked delicious, but my mussels creme frite was rather bland. Companion had the chicken dish, but was on the small side and not served with potatoes or veg (just a half tomato, and square of butternut squash). Skipped dessert and got crepes down the road"

"If you've read my previous review on Ouistreham restaurants you will know that we ended up here by accident, but what a happy accident that was. Small, busy, crepe place with limited indoor seating at benches that were very friendly, we sat outside so there...was room for our canine friend. Warm welcome from a very nice lady who was attentive throughout without being intrusive. Standard French fare of omelettes, crepes, burgers, etc. Fantastic food! A local cider that was exceptionally nice. And then we decided on the Calvados coffee for afters, well there was lots of Calvados and not so much coffee it was amazing Incredibly good value. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, will definitely go back."

"If you want something more than moules frites this restaurant does good menus with a variety of fish and seafood. We've been on numerous occasions before or after a ferry crossing and never been let down by the food quality. Service is efficient and pleasant."
