"Zane grey had 3 vegan options; banana-blooms “Fish” and chips, butternut risotto Asian nudels. there were also ( surprisingly) chocolate slurry cakes or sorbet for the desert. what a tasty bite! great location service was really good."

"A vegetarian and vegan friendly delight! In an area soaked in touristic dining experiences, this cafe/lunch bar type place is full of delicious food and smoothies/juices/coffee. We've been back 3 times in a week! Cabinet food including raw cakes and slices plus yummy Lentil and Potato pie, Spinach and Feta roll, polenta slice, wraps, filled potato, fresh salads etc. Just had an AMAZING hemp bean Pattie burger and hubby had the beetroot and brown rice version. Plus they had a walnut and lentil version too which we might have to go back for too! all homemade and fresh tasting. Wish it was closer to home. Hope it stays here for years to come as we come up every year. Go, reward your tastebuds. Morning/lunch place not dinner sadly."

"Very rude manager or some senior waitress). We were welcomed by a lady on the counter and offered a table. While we almost sat there, this manager lady came and told us that she cant serve us as we dont have a booking. When we pointed her to counter lady saying we already clarified at the counter and then a free table was offered. Very rude response well she doesnt know yet and I can tell you that we will not serve you . I dont think I will ever go back to such restaurant however fancy it looks. Service: 1"

"Nice fresh fish and really nice real chips! Big portions, especially the chips! Be mindful of that. (if you haven't been in NZ for long you may not be ready for the tomato sauce instead of ketchup) They had about 3 different types of cider, in bottles. Excellent warm service and lovely food! They also had plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and were quick to serve us. Thoroughly recommend!"

"Sunday roast from 3pm. Live music too. Then we shared a pizza on a different day. Both extremely good and tasty and the staff seem to be happy and enjoy being there. Makes the experience really good. All this at the end of the Paihia pier great views."
