"Traditional Paris bistro menu. the service was very pleasant because insured by very good students. The boss stayed behind his counter and didn't give up to say hello or even goodbye. It's quite unpleasant. The thigh is well done. It's a faultless and unsurprising."

"I found Amarante open on Christmas, and it was minutes from our apartment. Recommended in Michelin and Fooding, I assumed it would be pretty darn good. The food was good, but certainly not something to go out of your way for. If your grandmother...was French, and she liked to cook for large groups, you would have an idea what the dishes were like at Amarante. I had baby lamb and spinach, and the large chunk of meat was tasty. My companion chose roasted veal, and my lamb was tastier. The appetizer pumpkin soup was quite good as was the foie gras pate, Desserts were okay at best. With wine, the bill came to euros. Not bad, but the meal was nothing special, unless you are consumed by nostalgia."

"We were disappointed after visiting this place as a last dinner for my friend who came to Paris for the first time. We were looking for smth authentic, affordable, and with good ambiance. The ambiance was the only thing that was there. The image this place creates on the internet is completely different from the reality. Only thing which is true good service, the staff is friendly, polite and positive. But the food is smth similar to Buillon but twice as expensive. It's French, it's eatable, but that's it. I should mention that obviously we were not expecting high cuisine, but even random parisian Bistro can provide better food than what we have experienced at A la biche aux bois. The pate tasted like if it was just bought in the supermarket, the portion of the lamb was ridiculous (portions of other people were way too small as well), cocktails were not good and were prepared without respecting the proportions. Desserts were really just normal, like from the cantine. Probably the place spoiled after being added in the Micheline's guide and being popular on internet, but it is really not worth it. Simple bistro in Paris can be even much better than this place."

"Next to the busy street of the Faubourg saint antoine, this small restaurant is the answer to your empanadas desires. They even have a vegetarian menu, with spinach, cheese and onion, corn and coriander, tuna empanadas with a salad and homemade ice cream for dessert. the owner (I suppose) has tried some red wines to my friends, so that they make the right choice, which is quite unusual in this kind of place. and they have big tables if you come with a lot of people, as we did!"
