"All locals told us that this was the best place in town. We had a romantic corner table from which we watched a procession pass until the week before the Good Friday. Service was ok, price was expensive according to Popayan standards. At 9:00 the place was mostly empty, which seemed strange, but the food was okay. We ordered guacamole that never came."

"I went here with my wife for lunch, I ordered a seafood salad and she ordered trout. The service was very slow, even to get our order of drinks and similarly the food was very average. They bring you a complimentary fruit salad to start (a little odd before a main course) and a small piece of complimentary cake to finish ( orange and poppy seed). As mentioned in other reviews it is good that they offer Apostol beer. The restaurant needs to improve a lot on service and in flavour, the trout especially came with a nasty tasting sauce and cold patacones and the salad came with raw clams but it does have a good location."

"I frequently have lunch at Mr. Chef. They have a full menu but I've never ordered from it. They have four different set menu options for lunch - vegetarian, basic, upgraded, and executive ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 COP. The vegetarian meals almost always center around carve in some form or another. I've had carve burgers, burritos, stuffed peppers, and pasta. My Colombian companion frequently orders the meat menus and almost always enjoys them. Each set menu includes soup and juice. Mr. Chef is really good about mixing up the sides - they include yuca, avocado, potato croquettes, vegetarian samosa, or grilled vegetables in addition to the more typical rice, potatoes, and salad.The service is fast if you order a set menu and I enjoy the atmosphere. The restaurant is in a small mall - not so much a shopping mall as a handful of businesses in a small building. The eating area has heavy wooden tables, marble floors, and fountains that add calming background noise."

"La impresión de este lugar fue muy positiva, un día entre semana estaba un poco solo el lugar, entramos por tomar algo y terminamos esperando la hora de la cena, impresionados por lo bonito del lugar, especialmente en su fachada pero también su interior es amplio, agradables un buen ambiente para pasar un rato agradable en pareja. Ofrecieron una bandejita, muy parecida a la bandeja paisana pero con algunos variantes y unas sopas exquisitas. Es un lugar muy recomendado, atención amable, vale la pena regresar."
