"We spent a lovely afternoon at The Old Oak. Our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they allowed us to stay the night in our campervan in their car park. Will definitely return and would recommend to all Thank you!"

"Lovely little cafe ! Never been before as I hadn't seen it ,,,,, will be going back ,,,, the staff are exceptionally friendly ! And the selection of sandwiches cake sect. Was very tempting , it has a little charity shop at the back which is very clean and well run . Keep up the good work all involved ,,, I think most are volunteers , which is to their credit."

"Just been out for my first meal post lockdown at Bengal Spice and thought I’d share my experience, for those who are abit wary of going out. These guys are a great example to others, automated sanitiser on arrival (no touch required), markings all over for social distancing, seating was great and well spread out (utilising the space they have). All staff were wearing protective visors and protective screens are placed between all tables, which are wiped immediately after customers leave. The social distancing rules and standards were impeccable, I couldn’t pick a fault with anything they’ve done to protect us all. The food was at its same very high standards that I always enjoy, by far the best Indian in Redcar and surrounding areas for me. Take a visit if you can, this place did a lot for our carer’s during the pandemic and it’s now our turn to help them out during these testing times for the whole hospitality industry."

"5 stars for this beautiful little coffee shop. we admitted yesterday for a quick coffee (free parking right in front of the door, it just made our first choice for a quick stop.) we were greeted with a friendly smile chat, selection of high quality coffee, tasty looking cakes the smell of fresh made speck sandwiches. that looked amazing so that we both caught one! thank you. with the family"

"We stumbled over rapps cafe while we were on a family trip to saltburn. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and eating was amazing. my daughter described her pasta as the best she had could not be better! also our eating was excellent and the desserts were amazing! good coffee to finish. good value and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. highly recommended!"

"Waited in the takeaway queue for 35 minutes, and still wasn’t at the counter. Only one member of staff serving and the work rate was poor, and only one of three order points being used. When got close to the counter with still about 5 people in front of me it was announced they were waiting for chips. Surely the staff are aware of how many portions were being served, how many were being prepared and could judge this against the anticipated requirements. Needless to say, the crowd the Seaview had that was queuing well into the car park (a decent amount of business I assume) no longer existed. Potential customers gad simply gad enough. Simply down to extremely poor service."
