"Located in the village of Obereichsel, the Café Elke is a very popular restaurant with a large terrace overlooking a lovely valley. We had both lunch and dinner there and found the quality very good. Service at lunch was a little brisk, perhaps we had...caught the owner on a bad day, but other staff were charming and helpful. I got the impression that there were tables with great views for regulars and that passing trade was relegated to the lesser tables....hmmmm."

"Samedi soir en premier service : le restaurant situé en zone piétonne se remplit rapidement, les serveurs qui ont tous un accent italien s'affairent autour de vous et les plats commandés arrivent rapidement.La volonté de bien faire est évidente, le pain pizza est frais et savoureux, le pinot gris italien est bien frais, les entrées sont réussies ( antipasti croquants et variés, délicieuses bruscettas ), le reste est un peu moins au diapason ( pates un peu molles et servies tièdes, macaronis au four gras et pateux ) à l'image des desserts sortis du congélateur et servis à la va-vite .Au final, dans une atmosphère qui se veut raffinée mais assez bruyante, vous dégusterez des plats inégaux pour un prix moyen de 25 à 30 Euros environ à la carte. Si vous etes dans la région, il existe d'autres restaurants de ce type dans la ville qui ont plus de caractère !"

"Wir haben da zu Mittag gegessen. Es war wie gewohnt sehr gut zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Es macht jedoch den Anschein, dass die Mamsell schwerhörig ist. Die Aussprache ist sehr laut."

"Once and all in. We were three for dinner. The order variant via the tablet with 10min timer is easy and quick explained. The food was delivered very quickly, was very varied (all by what there was) and tasted very good. 1 but, as mentioned by the previous ones, because first of all the last round should not be completely brought, we would be sick of it) and secondly the top topic, where one should round 'unconditionally'. Funny philosophy when a business goes so well. All in all, but good food at a good price."

"I have an afinity for China as I've lived many years in Asia. A typical challenge in Germany or Switzerland is to find an authentic Chinese restaurant with good food. I would recommend Peking' as a very good place with authentic ambience, very good food,...and an attentive service. One one of the best in the Basel area. Book a table in advance for Fri or Sat."

"The calf was divine and the salad plate was also very delicious. The food was also appealing. In the end, I enjoyed another Panna Cotta. It was the HAMMER! The services were also very polite. I didn't give me any complaints from my side!"
