"Last minute decision to dip. good decision. beautiful setting. almost on the beach. had a drink and just sat and enjoyed the very relaxing atmosphere. beautiful background music. limited menu, but interesting options. relax. a lot of fun. Edit: so, it appears the gaaaitjie has different menus for different days. we jumped in 2 days later, just to be greeted with a whole different menu! wow, what a menu. had an amazing hake keile plus salat. absolutely delicious! great service! perfect setting. note: lunchtime sitting kitchen last order at 14h00. closes 14h30. kitchen opens later to dinner. only one note from gaaaitjie management: Thursday to Monday the latest seats at 14:00 o'clock, and last food orders are at 14:30 o'clock. then we don't close. afterwards they can still sit and we are open all day from 12:00 to 22:00 for drinks."

"We had lunch there on 03 March 2018, big portions and the food was tasty, chicken livers, mussels, calamari, service was excellent, awesome waiter (cant remember his name, waitered the outside tables). Made us came back for more the next day. Will definitely be back there again. Kids were entertained. Well done Kokomo"

"On arrival we were apprehensive thinking we will wait too long for service as the restaurant was busy. Just when I thought my predictions would come true the waitron arrived, took our order and not much longer afterwards our food arrived. The 5 stars are for the food. We shared a Beetroot, Avo Feta Salad and a Thai Chicken and Prawn Pasta. Well as you can see I completely forgot to take pictures of both dishes. It was delicious! No complaints!"

"So Dillon and I took a drive and decided to make a stop at the curry bar, coming in, the setting was very simple but the food was excellent We both had the chicken curry bunny chow, and I must say, talk about delicious, it was served with a pickled carrot salad and a garlic Naan bread... As a chef, I simply don't indulge in anyone's curry, but the curry was amazing and I definitely recommend it, the bread served with it was fresh and I could taste the freshly, nutty flavor We also had the daltjies, cause Dillon is always hungry. We then finished off our meal with a fresh strawberry milkshake and chocolate one. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and the recommendations given by them did not fall on deaf ears. Thank you for informing us on what you think we should have eaten... Suggestions: please add a bit more salt to the food, to enhance the flavor of the of the curry... Once again, it's very rare I give a 5 star to a small town restaurant, but you deserve it, congratulations The Traveling Chef"

"There are 3 little restaurants in the quad. We bought from the one closest to the beach. Best freshest snoek. Slap chips also excellent, and salad extra bonus. Very affordable. Will be back!"
