"It was the 30th birthday of my mannes on this weekend, so together with a few friends, we took a small trip to portsmouth/ southsea. we stumbled over the yard on the look for bloody mary’s and cake to please two hingover men and a pregnant lady. (we weren't sure where we started to look we were so impressed! the cocktails were made skillful, the menu was so diverse and the cake was perfect! the atmosphere is beautiful, especially now about the celebration. it was such an ice age day, but this place warmed up the hahne (that I spell the right? from our hearts! absolutely great service, so friendly and courteous staff and dog friendly! we had such a great time that we came back in this night for more cocktails and small tellers. we recommend the antipasti plate! they will not find better eating anywhere else, each dish is ready, perfection and tastes sensational. you will not be disappointed by this little piece of the sky, which is missed in an old castle at the sea. we had a wonderful chat with the hearts behind the tasty eating and the fabulous bar tendress at the end of the night, they are such a delightful bundle! we will definitely be back, the 2 hours drive is worth it. many thanks to all who work there to make the day of my man so special!"

"This lovely little shop offers mix n match wholesome vegan salad boxes. The main offering is a selection of cold, precooked salads and vegetables, where you can choose any quantity or mix of items to fill a decent sized tub for lunch. When I've been in this has included:roasted sweet potatoes, lentil dhal, avocado leafy salad, rice, bean salad, curry, all sorts. The lady in there was very pleasant, didn't skimp on portions and I got a very decent amount of food for about £3.50. They've also had warm parsnip soup and rolls, and another time a warm veg curry, both again were tasty and wholesome . I assume they change the options most days. You can sit in as there are a few chairs and table by the window or take away. There's a little section where you can pick up some vegan and gluten free bits n bobs (hummus crisps, tins of beans etc). I really like Simply Wholesome, it's definitely worth the walk from my office to get something savoury and nutritious at lunchtime, rather than just another pre-pack sandwich."

Drink menu perfect. came for a birthday meal, on a Sunday, the server was perfect, could clearly see that he did his best to make us comfortable and very informative. the food was fresh and tasty. would be recommended to all types of edibles. fussy and adventurous."

"Here for lunch, it was busy, but the staff was great as the menu that was eating was fresh and of a high standard, two meals were with the cup homemade suppe, which was very nice and two meals of the goat cheese on bruschetta, one of which was gf. I would like to visit again."
