"In Mercantile Square, Spotsylvania Courthouse area , Itavie is an Italian eatery. Understated , neutral tones decor. Consolidated area of live plants , a green burst of color. Music has moderate, pleasing volume . Usually jazz. This time we had a white pizza with various toppings , homemade crust . It was very good . The service was prompt. Prices are reasonable. We decided no to dessert as we ate the whole pizza. Easy access, comfortable seating , offering booth or chairs or both. Itavie has that quiet , upscale ambience .Parking: Parking spots including handicap very near sloped sidewalk.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, I believe entry is possible . And certainly at the tables"

"My new favorite place. Love to go to local family run restaurants. Service was great, food fantastic. They have frog legs, venison and gator! I wasn't as adventurous today and had the shrimp and crab platter. Came with 2 sides, salad and a baked potato. Cole slaw is home made and was delicious. My baked potato had vasts amount of butter (which I loved). Plenty of food. My husband had the frog legs and he said they were delicious. Onion rings were nice and crispy. We will begoing tomorrow to try the gator and the venison! The menu jas a lot to.offer, oysters, gator, crab, king crab, shrimp, scallops, steak. We are excited. They also have a small store and sell steamed crabs, oysters, shrimp. This place is alittle gem. Dine in or take out. Great restaurant f you want a fresh, well priced friendly local place!"

"Me and my family had a meeting today so we stopped by to the pig Pit for a bite to eat i can tell you it's not worth a 5.0 review that's for damn sure the food was very dry there was no seasonings no salt or pepper it wasn't even smoked it was like they put it in water and left it to dry as for there corn bread lmao I wouldn't even call it corn bread more likely sugar bread it didn't even taste like old fashioned corn bread the restaurant was very clean and the employees where very nice but the food was very disappointing it was so bad we gave the food to the dog it wasn't even worth stoping what a let down and a disappointment"

"I've been there a few times, and not even at a point of our visits we were disappointed. The beer and bourbon selection are excellent, the appetizers (Guinness glazed wings, buffalo wings, Spinat Artichoke Dip, and some fried cheese and fruit app) were great, in the entrees or all excellent portions and very tasty. Our entrees were Knob Creek Peppermint Steak, Maker 's Mark Bourbon Chicken, Gouda and Speck filled Cheeseburger, and JaegerSchnitzel. We didn't make dessert because we were absolutely filled, maybe next time. The service was personal and excellent, the turnaround time for the food on a Friday night, much faster than I expected. In any case again!!!"
