"My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat away from the lakeside, where everything is expensive, and the menu at Trastevere seemed to fit the bill, so we headed for it. As we were studying the menu by the entrance one of the waiters (actually I think he was the only one) tapped my wife on the should and made some comment. I dismissed it at the time but in retrospect it did seem a bit forward. He thought himself as a charmer for the ladies, but being middle age and rather overweight he was anything but. Eventually we ordered a beer for myself, a glass (250ml as per the menu) for my wife, 2 mixed salads, and a pizza to share simple enough you would have thought. The drinks came first of course, my beer, plus a small glass of wine. I inspected the glass and although there was a 250ml marker on it, the level in the glass was nowhere near it. I tried on several occasions to attract the waiters attention, but without success, but eventually with some arm waving he came over. I said that we had ordered a 250ml glass of wine, as per what was the only option on the menu (apart from a bottle), and this clearly wasn 't 250ml. He said it was a small glass, and eighth, ie;125ml, but this wasn 't what we ordered, and anyway there was no such item on the menu, and therefor the price was unknown. After much discussion to and fro he took the glass away and re appeared a few minutes later with a Quarto Litro caraffe plus an empty glass. Now why couldn 't he have done that in the first place, why argue with a customer. The Pizzas came next, already cut in half, but no salads, and also no cutlery. After a few minutes I walked over to the cutlery draw and helped myself, just has he appeared by the door, but he didn 't say anything it was as if he knew he had forgotten them, maybe on purpose ? Still no sign of the salads either, and after a further few times in trying to attract his attention, I asked where the salads were, and his reply was 'They 're coming '. By the time the salads eventually arrived, the pizzas were 3/4 eaten, in fact if I hadn 't had to wait for the cutlery, they would already have been finished. So, would I recommend this restaurant, and maybe go there again well you can draw your own conclusion to that. Needless to say, I didn 't leave a tip."

"Super nice not too big hotel. Rooms are real class, no snuck that nobody needs. Beds very comfortable and the bathroom really nice. We had a room with lake view, fantastic. W-Lan is available everywhere and fast. The breakfast buffet is a dream. It is served in a small space and it has everything the heart desires. It's all freshly prepared, really great. In the cosy breakfast room there is also the possibility to eat evening. A great praise to the kitchen, tastes really excellent. There is also the possibility to dine in the hotel owners bar. The bar is very welcoming and it is difficult to leave it. Finally, the staff. All we had to do with were super friendly and very helpful. We can recommend the hotel without worrying and will definitely return to the next stay at Tegernsee."

"After trekking up mountain neuruth it was very satisfying and rewarding to eat our lunch and have beer had beef in beer sauce and spinach noodle dumpling both Bavarian dishes followed with apple strudel in vanilla sauce/ all excellent."

"This is truly a great place except for that one drawback. Located next to the Ducal Brewery on the shore of the beautiful Tegernsee lake, the "Brennerei" (literally "Distillery") also makes fruit schnaps of various types and sells them on the premises. You can see the modern "still" in one of the restaurant rooms.If the weather is good, sit outside on the terrasse and enjoy the scenery. Inside, the decor is timbered, with the southern Bavarian touch. The menu features many German/Bavarian specialties, and the food was uniformly great. I had the Leberkäse and found it outstanding; all in our party remarked on the great taste of the food. Presentation of the food was tasteful and in line with the decor. The staff were pleasant and attentive but not intrusive, allowing a leisurely meal.The only jarring aspect was the announcement, with the presentation of the bill, that they did not accept credit cards. One would expect a restaurant of this class (they are not a "local hole in the wall") located in a resort town with significant tourist traffic either to accept credit cards (after all, the slightly down-scale brewery restaurant next door takes them) or to inform the patrons of the fact that they don't when taking the orders. This is a relatively new restaurant, so perhaps as they settle in they'll change their policy in this respect. Until they do, it's a great place to bring guests, but be sure to bring cash, too."
