"We had made a reservation. On arrival, we asked if the rye bread was 100% and were assured that it was. When it was served the colour of the bread did not seem right so, we asked again is it 100% rye whereupon the waiter checked with the baker who advised that NO, it was NOT 100%....This was the 2nd time this has happened to us regarding rye bread.This means that the staff are NOT au fait with their products.We sat at Table No. 1. On a previous visit I had mentioned to the manager that a dead mosquito was splattered on the wall, by the painting.I think it's part of the decor because the wall has not been cleaned yet..."

"This is my favourite Ocean basket branch by far. The staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient. They have their own chili sauce, which you wouldn't get at any other branch and is delicious. The atmosphere is buzzing, but still warm and comfortable. They also have a special dinner for two with 2 glasses of wine for only R99. Definitely worth a visit!"
