"Lacey catered our family wedding on Sept 2nd at CVA. We had a set down dinner for 250. The food was delicious and everything turned out as expected! She also catered a buffet dinner for the rehearsal dinner at this same venue on Friday night. Our tasting was delicious as well and were excited to work with her. She is a busy girl so communication was a bit hard but closer to the wedding date she went through all the details and on the day of the events all went well! Just don’t worry if you can’t reach her, she will get the job done! I highly recommend the strawberry salad and the beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce with her mashed potatoes for a set down dinner. Several commented on the chicken with herb sauce as well."

"We had dinner there tonight and was very dopey we did. We u understand help is hard to find now but our server was the worst I’ve had in many years. She was lazy and did not know how to do her job or even care to. When we finally got our food it took her 10 minutes for her to check on us. My prime rib was dry and tough. She said the cook would make me a steak if I wanted but by then my party would all be done with their meals so I said no. They took 50% off my meal. They never should have charged me for it. It was not busy at all . Mikes clam shack and the steak house were packed. Now I know why. We live in Wells and have been here several times with no issues. I’m not sure I will give it another chance. This experience was not just bad but awful. Too many good restaraunts around to take chances on bad food and service. I hope management makes some changes. U can’t stay open on the name only. Sorry Joyce Renna 207-251-8484"

"Have dined here twice, AMAZING! Miranda was our server both times and she was nothing short of GREAT! Huge portions, good selection, no kids menu but they more than accommodated us. Always busy but we haven’t had a wait time yet. Obviously the amazing food and service is no secret. We will be back frequently."

"I would compare The Steakhouse to an upscale Texas Roadhouse. The food is excellent, staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and country themed. I ordered the petite filet mignon, the baked potatoe, and rice pilaf for the main course, the cheese fries for an appetizer and lastly the cheesecake for dessert. All or which tasted very well. The only reason why I would rate it slightly below 5 stars is that for a Steakhouse the steak was very tender, but had no seasoning/marinade to it. So while it was tender, it was lacking flavor. In addition to this they did not have any bearnaise sauce available. I would recommend this place for those looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I will be going back for sure."
