"I normally do not give reviews on eatery places but I felt compelled to give this place one. Me, the wife, the parents-in-law and my sister-in-law were visiting the area and decided to stop off here for a bite to eat. We should've walked around a bit to see what other restaurants are available but we were slightly pushed for time; on hindsight, we wish we did. We ordered the drinks and Croque-Madames for the five of us. For those of you who doesn't know what a Croque-Madame is, it's a ham and Emmental cheese sandwich topped with béchamel sauce then toasted. To complete the dish, a fried egg is added on top, but in our case two fried eggs was the establishments variation (very generous). We waited for half an hour for our food to arrive, for a lunchtime service this is pretty poor standard. When my Croque-Madame arrived, I was immensely disappointed not because of the portion size but the state of my fried eggs. The eggs supposed to be sunny side up but the yolks were already burst; the diner should have the privilege to burst the yolk and watch it drizzle down or smear it onto the bread. On closer inspection, my eggs were fried for too long thus leaving just a pus amount of yolk. Additionally they only served me one egg rather than two as advertised, but all my family were given two. I moved the egg to the side of the dish as I was not going to eat a fried egg when there's no yolk as it's the main ingredient in a Croque-Madame. The sandwich itself tasted unusual, it had a bitter after taste, I only ate quarter of it but gave up as I couldn't stomach the bitter after taste when it should be salty due to the ham and cheese. That's not the last of it; the dish came with fries, and the fries I was served are most driest I had the misfortune of eating. They were too over cooked so they were practically crunchy rather crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. My wife had to ask for her fries as they forgotten to plate it. This a simple French dish to which they ought to get right first time round but failed. My wife's Croque-Madame also had a burst egg and it dribbled other the plate on to me and the wife when the waiter was serving. We were just passing trade so there's no skin off the establishment's nose, however it's reviews will determine whether for the traveller to spend their hard earn cash there. I'm sure this place serve other wonderful dishes but if they can't get their national dish right......well, you decide."
