"On 22nd June 2023 students and staff from Horizons department of Barking Dagenham College had a first class lunch at the Generals Shish. We had a Chicken and Lamb Platter, and the Generals own special platter. The food was wonderful, full of flavour fantastic, enjoyed by all. The General and his men looked after us all and threw in some chips for free. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts we will be back!"

"No1 for me...for kebabs and pizza I always get schish kebab with rice....perfect large pieces meat and big salat. pizzas are freshly cooked and taste great staff are the best. kind and always give them what they want. and the place is spotlessly clean the best kebab shop for me in the opposite."

"I go to the boathouse a lot as it is a lovely place. The owner has now added 3 vegan dishes to his menu. There is : Jackfruit burger with chips,; Meze: Houmous, falafel, olives, pita and Nachos with guacemole, salsa and chillies. So you can have a nice veggie meal whilst overlooking the river Roding I have tried all three and they are very good. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere."
