"We visited the birthday of my omni brother. he had heard from the whittington arms of some people, so we were excited to see it on happy cow. we received a warm greeting and were shown on our table. we first got the main menu that marked some vegan options on it, but the personal brought us the separate vegan menu, fortunately when we asked. there were several options for starters, pornstars and desserts and they all sounded so good that we had difficulty deciding! we put on tomato, basilikum and mandelbäckchen and the caramelized wobbles. eating came after a short wait, and both meals were really good. we only discovered that we could have ordered greens or salat as sides, which would go nicely with both. when it was time for dessert, the staff remembered that we were vegan and brought us the vegan menu. again we were spoiled for the choice and finally tart on the treakel and pecan, and the chocolate cake. If you're just going to whittington arms for one thing, go to the Treacle Tart! it's incredible! the chocolate cake is delicious, but the treacle tar is on a completely different level!"

"In 5 minutes before closing time. I asked if we could order. with friendly staff who only like to help and make our food. made to feel welcome and that it was pleasure to help us. thanks for the great experience. really will go back because of the customer service."

"We found this pub surprising busy for a Monday lunchtime, mainly frequented by diners of an older generation. There was a good range of about four ales on the bar. The menu features mainly pub standards but there is also a specials board and it was from this that we selected the Pork Belly a 'go to ' favourite of ours, and it was quite reasonably priced at £12.95. It was served with mashed potatoes and peas now surely the chef could come up with more interesting accompaniments than this. As for the meat, the centrepiece of any good pork belly is a crispy skin and the skin on this was certainly not crispy; indeed not eatable. The pork was okay but not the tenderest ever. Personally I would prefer to have paid a bit more for something more appealing. Service was quite efficient but a smile or two from the staff wouldn 't go amiss. Overall opinion of this pub? Well, being so busy on a Monday lunchtime must say something, but personally I found the place very average."
