"Had the sticky seitan which was incredible! Husband had the vegatsu which was out of this world. Kids had the kasai noodle bowl which they loved. The service was top notch throughout the entire meal, some of the best service I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!"

"The vegan selection for two was a generous spread of hummus, falafel, richly spiced crisp flatbreads, batata harra and roasted-to-perfection vegetables with rice, avocado and zingy salat with orange peel and granat apple. also ask for chili sauce! there are beautiful outside seats, but note that since covid, eating is served, even if they eat it."

"I love this place absolutely. Always come here after climbing. Super friendly staff and tasty house made delicious food. I always have their salad selection (some of them grown in their garden) with a sausage roll. Your sausage rolls are absolutely delicious. I'd say it's usually vegan. And they make great cakes. Definitely recommend!"

"As far as new openings go, Mr Bao was quite heavily anticipated by foodies and non-foodies alike. But I guess that’s a sign of just how deep these little fluffy steamed buns have penetrated our psyche such that anything carrying the word ‘bao’ immediately grabs our attention. That it has happened in gentrifying Peckham is a sign of the times – the trendsetters are here and here to stay."
