"We visited the hotel agin for lunch and the food was very basic, the hotel needs to be refurbished it has dirty walls and ceilings and looks dirty, the music pumps so loud you can't even have a conversation, we as a group will not be heading back"

"Ordered the rump steak with egg and chips on medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Also came with a jus which tasted amazing. The peri peri sauce was also fantastic (not to mention home made). Definitely worth Would come here again."

"Had dinner here last night with a group of 12 people. From the start they set themselves behind the ball buy charging a surcharge of $10 per head (total $120) just to take our booking as we were a large group over 8 people. ?? I thought that would be a good thing being a restaurant owner my self out west, we welcome large bookings. After questioning the surcharge I was told that the extra $120 was due to the fact that it was harder for the kitchen and wait staff to service the group and we would need extra attention and that all restaurants in the city charge this. This might be so but we never got extra service and half the food came out was not exceptional. I must say to be honest and trying most of the food on the table, half were quality dishes, the other half very average for the prices. And the wait staff were average definitely not worth going as a big group as at this place you pay an extra for nothing.<br>
Very disappointing."

"Had a mango smoothie and a traditional pork bun. Yum! The bun was so fresh and crispy, which what really separates a good banh mi to a great one. The mango smoothie was refreshing and actually tastes like mango I.e. With a hint of sourness not just sweet and syrupy like some cafes. Reasonably priced and fuss-free friendly service with lovely outside seating to enjoy the meal with my trusted companion, Thor the husky. Will definitely be back to try more smoothies and maybe try their vermicelli salad, or pho, or rolls..... ????"

"Just superb. Friendly, attentive service and a small menu and wine list but everything is superb. The cafe is only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. The cafe is in the oldest building in Pyrmont, built in 1843. Definitely worth a visit!"
