"This is more of an Argentine than Peruvian restaurant, but no matter, the steak is fantastic, just melt-in-your-mouth tender. Grilled pork bellies were also delicious. Any of the combo platters will be more than enough for two, not including the large salad bowl and plate of fries that come with them. Also enjoyed the empanadas. If you're looking for something a little more Peruvian, there are other mains with the savory sauces from that cuisine. Service was not especially fast, but who cares with all that meat you have to eat?"

"When I was in Lima last week, a friend brought me to Tanta in Miraflores. He wanted dinner and I just wanted some light and Pisco Sour. Great place not too loud so you can easily have a conversion while you ate. I ordered spinach and cheese empanada and it was from this world! There are several other types of empanadas on the menu. He ordered the aguadita soup, which was also delicious. Tanta is a chain and there are several other locations, including the historic center, Larcomar and the airport. I'll go back to Lima the next time."
