"Upon entry, our party stood there several minutes, while several employees passed us and we were never greeted. We were seated and provided menus in 3 ring school folders. The decor is remininicent of Golden Corral. When I asked for a half-and-half Tea, half sweet half, half unsweet) the waiter corrected me and said it was a, blended tea . I 've lived in the South for 4 years, and never heard it called that. Classic rock music was being played loudly over the speakers. Apparently too loudly for the waiter to hear me when I ordered, he blurted, What? I can 't hear you! Not, Pardon me, or Excuse me. Needless to say, the service and décor is not in line with the menu prices. The food was average and palatable, and presented well. This is our second disappointment with Barnacle Bills in Sarasota, as had a similar disappointing service at the downtown location. We will not be returning."

"The place has a classic tiki feel. We went on a Friday around 3 pm during a holiday weekend. The atmosphere could have been a bit better. We had 1 drink and then went elsewhere. The prices were reasonable for beer and wine."

"Who knew there was a gate to Thailand, not too far from I-75? In an inconvenient strip-mall you will find this delicious destination fucked away and after eating there you will wonder why there are not thousands of people to get inside. The interior is detailed in Thai wood art and architecture, with cosy stands and very intimate lighting that need a little time to get used to. Menus are available inside the door (if you want to study the dishes later). I ordered the Thai Duck Curry with coconut boba/bubble tea and wow... what a worthy investment. I made easily two meals from the portions, and loved the taste more with every bite. They give you the possibility of 4 different spice levels, so you are not afraid to come, your face does not have to melt if you do not want it. The service was fantastic, super nice and love when you are satisfied with the meal. They offered more jasmine rice than I knew what to do, which really feels interested and guarantees my return in the near future as if the food was not good enough."

"If I could give Indigenous 10 stars, I’d do so...phenomenal food innovative, fresh, delicious...had a unique ceasar salad, creamy soup with char, snapper, and rock fish, and Arctic Char prepared perfectly...Micah is an outstanding server...and the genius chef Steve even took time to come check on us and make sure we were pleased!! We were more than pleased!!! New favorite restaurant in Sarasota!!!"

"The service in this restaurant was always top notch. But I have to say that everything has gone downhill since the pandemic. The service of our waiter was great. However, the Valet was too busy on his phone to open our doors, the Steak got my father was not sizzling and was not the usual cut and the lobster was dry. The chopped salad was (as always) top notch. The drinks were never very good, so I wasn't shocked that they didn't know how to make a high-quality old fashion. It is a pretty thick price tag so you would expect a higher level of service. I hope they improve here."

"The only complaint was the oysters were very tiny with too much of a salty taste. They were not very good at all in comparison with many other restaurants of lower quality service. The service was fine. The atmosphere was very nice. The cost was a bit higher than most but everything else was to contentment."

"Our group enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience. The calamari was perfectly prepared, and all three of our entrees were top notch. The atmosphere is casually elegant and sophisticated, but not stuffy. They have a nice happy hour as well. We will most definitely return to this Sarasota jewel."
