"Was here on a last trip to Taiwan, and here is my Phillipe Paris Lounge restaurant review for HappyCow. This restaurant is located in an attractive building right in front of the Taichung Science Museum. Fine dining atmosphere, white tablecloth and everything. Food is, of course, slow. We chose everything you can eat salad bar with our meal (it is more expensive in this way, but we did not know until we had already started eating cheaper set of meal price if you choose to have ONE salad plate instead of everything you can eat). The salad bar is vegan friendly and has some types of sprouts plus salad, bread and fruit. Many regular menu items contain milk as this is French cooking, so vegans safe to ask. They were able to fulfill our vegan wishes and propose things we could eat. Amidious, but an interesting experience if you don't mind spluring on food."

"I didn't feel hungry enough to order a full set, so I decided only for the spicy kitsune udon noodle soup on my own (NT$170). And yet it still came with a small side of dried bean curd, my selection of drinks (almond tea, winter melon tea, or black tea), and black tofu pudding. What a great thing! The noodles are handmade and have more bites than packed. They sell them so you cook at home. In addition, they make other items like steamed rolls NT$30 each) in different flavors. The only ovo-vegetarian entree is the salad (option 2), and if you do not add the onsenei, your noodles will be vegan. Regarding the pages, the egg tofu (option 1), roasted cheese rolls (option 3) and tomato cups (option 11) are ovo- and lacto-vegetarian. The Italian eggplant (option 12) is cooked in the same oil as eggs if you want to control it clearly. It is not super authentic Japanese Udon, but I assume the aromas and the feeling of the place makes for it. Updated by previous review on 2019-11"

"Fantastic and high-quality ingredients, wonderful and warm service, spectacular presentation and everything in an elegant and sophisticated environment, this is a wonderful experience! the meats were perfectly boiled, the salad creatiw and beautiful, and the soups and appetizers sincerely still fun. they expect to spend around NT$5000 for a firm for two. visit in December 2019: also the suppers, appetizers and salads were exceptional in creativity and taste, and the meat was perfectly aged, cooked and presented. the server are excellently efficient and friendly, and the overall experience is one of the best in taichung."

"It's nice to find some totally vegan restaurants and know that you can order anything! I had pumpkin soup, homemade bread and a rice dish, all for 300NTD. Oh, and an iced green tea! Even though the rice was fried, it still tasted healthy and not covered in oil etc. The atmosphere is also a highlight of this place, highly recommend"
