"A must try are the taco salad selection. I prefer the smoked ribs taco salad. They also have an outdoor projector where they play movies and music videos. The kid section is great with a gated playground for the young ones to enjoy while they wait or the food."

"Cafe la Especial has been a family favorite and traditional visit since I was a child in Tijuana. I was surprised to hear of the newer location nearer to Aguascalientes but delighted to see the same decor, relics and menu as the one on Revolución. Great selection of steaks, and favorite antojitos and sopas. A great place for family and authentic, great Tijuana food."

"Our family enjoyed the outdoor seating and the waiters did a great job of quickly pushing other tables in when it was raining out of the blue. We were under an umbrella and a big tree and didn't have to move and the rain stopped quickly. Our teenage kids weren't in many nice restaurants and they loved the creative starters, especially the homemade croutons on the Caesar salad, delicious! We all had very good meals and were too full for dessert, which is unfortunate because I have eaten the chocolate bread pudding with baileys before and it is divine! There are so many tasty options and we enjoyed the scallops as well as the duck, key lime chicken and the flank. You can't go wrong!"
