"We have been loyal customers of Yamako Sushi for over 10 years. We usually get take out but have also eaten in. Their rolls are excellent - especially the dynamite and California. We also regularly order the wild salmon and tuna sashimi. There are so many sushi places to choose from but we keep coming back to Yamako because their rolls are consistently good and prices reasonable."

"Our neighbourhood sushi go to spot! Not only is it close by, but the staff here are so friendly it makes you want to keep going back! In the 8 years that we’ve been going here I do t think they’ve gotten our order wrong. Recently we’ve been doing allot of take out and I definitely recommend getting their party trays and rice bowls! They are great with substituting rolls for others. Kid friendly, quick pick up time and tastes fresh every time. In the picture is a party tray with kappa maki, dynamite roll, California roll, spicy tuna, salmon roll, beef and chicken teriyaki. Miso soup and we also got their beef yakisoba which is the kids love."

"Enjoyed dinner here as it’s one of the few Japanese restaurants that still does a seafood version of the motoyaki. I liked that they added spinach in it as that was different, however I wish there was more seafood. There was only a few bits of scallop and shrimp. As for the rolls they were nice and fresh, everything tasted good and the server was very attentive. Portions were decent and not too small or too big. They have booths but we sat at a table as the booths were all reserved. However, they aren’t tatami rooms just booths with a private curtain."

"I really do like the ambiance of this place. The food was superb but service could be a lot better! Server didn't come back after serving my meal, had to stand up to get their attention for more water. Also had to wait 20 minutes to pay my food cause the server was too busy with other customers so I decided to go up and go to her and pay."

"Over all a nice experience at this place. It's located in the corner. Excellent service, and definitely enjoyed the spice salmon and tuna rolls. Price is very reasonable. My son liked their miso soup he ended up asking for two order of miso soup.Ordered the teriyaki chicken and rice, bust chicken lacked flavor. I wish they offered a kids meals, but no kids meal.Restrooms are clean, parking available and free.Kid-friendliness: They did not have a kids meal or I may have missed bento box.Parking: Parking available in Plaza."

"We've been eating here for years and occasionally try other sushi places, but keep coming back to this little hidden away spot behind Tim Hortons. The sashimi's are the best. The Miso soup, Edamame, Alaska Rolls, California Roll, and Vancouver rolls are all the best....Very generous portions and pleasant servers. Tatami rooms are available too. Eat in or take out. This place never stops serving. I only wish they would add a veggie tempura rather than just the yam/prawn tempura choices. I love the green bean/carrot/broccoli tempura elsewhere and wish they'd bring it in there."
