"Viavélez is a tavern-restaurant that landed in madrid in 2007 by a famous chef, paco ron, who had triumphed years before in the Asturian city of the same name, where he got a michelin star. Let's start with the note: I give you eight and a half more than ten. in general this restaurant has fulfilled what was looking for perfectly, to put some but, the price. it's not exactly cheap, but not as expensive as others of similar or worse level. Viavélez is a tavern and restaurant. on the ground floor is the dining room, small, with capacity for 28-30 diners. the somewhat minimalist decoration and a little cold, the tables are sufficiently separate, the professional service, close and pleasant. change of cover with each dish, different types of dishes, always modern, but functional (nothing of impossible cuts and uncomfortable dishes) cups suitable to the type of wine offered, ... impeccable. the full restaurant room is non-smoking, on the upper floor tavern, but smoking is allowed. as for the kitchen is classic cut, with intense flavors and high quality raw materials, but without extravagances or cutting edges and risking little. is its virtue and perhaps its defect, excess prudence, lack of risk in the kitchen. and it is that the menu seems a bit immobile and the tasting menu has changed very little since its opening in 2007. rations are very dignified, it becomes happy and satisfied. the restaurant menu is not very extensive, seven entrances, five main meats and five fish with prices ranging from 25 to 30 euros. In addition to the menu, it offers two tasting menus to 55 and 65 euros (no drink). the wine menu attracts attention, is very extensive and with many references both national and foreign. very detailed, it presents the wine, the winery, the vintage and the name of origin (in addition to the price). As for the price to the letter calculated for a first (20 euros,) a second (30 euros) and a dessert (8 euros,) total about 55-60 euros, drink to part. conclusion: it is true that I was very satisfied, that I loved what I ate, that the service was impeccable, that the environment and the decoration were elegant without being recharged, ... but, today, that it costs to pay that good price for the tastes In any case, I would repeat with drip. I recommend it to all those who can afford to leave 70-80 euros per head in a meal or dinner."
