"This new Malaysian eatery is a great addition to the Westfield food court. It has certainly made the food court to be a more enticing place to go. The operators have done up the decor and created a hawker like setting with the teh tarik being made on the one side, and in the middle, to entice you is a selection of snacks eg chicken wings and the various Malaysian kuehs to tempt you.I visited this eatery when it first opened. My eyes were larger than my stomach and I ordered quite a selection to try. Must say the Char Koay Teow and the Nasi Lemak was quite authentic - no complaints there. However I was disappointed with the Malaysian style dry noodles. My gripe was that it was too sweet and they should change the sweet dark soya sauce they use. On a second visit, my friend ordered the Assam Laksa while I had the Penang Style Combination Wat Tan Hor. I liked how the Assam Laksa was served i.e. in a tiffin carrier. Served the purpose of the origin of the Assam Laksa and my friend liked it. This dish is not for those who do not like the fishy taste.I, on the other hand was not too happy with the Wat Tan Hor - it lacked the wok burned taste of the flat noodles and the dish lacked ingredients. As I walked passed, I noticed some other customers had prawns on theirs while mine was devoid of any prawns. I also tried the Belacan Chicken Wings but was not too happy with the taste.Cost per person, for a main dish - between $10 - $12 per person. With drinks, you could be looking at around $16. Go for some of the selected dishes which are good such as the Nasi Lemak, Assam Laksa or the Nasi Lemak. All in all, if the operators are able to maintain consistency and the quality they would last long at the food court. Otherwise, there are heaps of other Malaysian eateries out there to give it a good run for its money."

"The food at this slightly grimy restaurant was fantastic and made us feel like we were back in Malaysia! We loved the Penang char kway teow with duck egg"

"Been here twice with friends, the last visit we have to wait about 15min and we were placed next to the noisy kids playroom. We refused and they cleaned us another table. Even few tables away, we still can hear the kids. Its probably good if you have toddlers and trying to eat lunch because then you can keep an eye on your kids but not if you are trying to have a quiet or conversational lunch.I ordered chicken laksa and we have to wait for almost feels like half hour, and it came as chicken laksa without the chicken in it. I complained and was given a little plate with cooked chicken pieces. My girlfriend's noddles looks greasy and oily although she said is not too bad. The service was chaotic and took a while to try to get their attention to order. Will I come back? Maybe or maybe not as there are so many places in Chatswood that have better service and better food. If you are planning to come, try to avoid busy hours and sit near the outside window and don't bother to queue."

"Efficient service, food ok. Favourite was the kam heong calamari - tasty deep-fried goodness. The satay was not very authentic, rendang was watery. Cendol was ok."

"Best yong tau foo in Sydney in my opinion.

This is my second visit. My first was over a year ago. While most reviewers are saying that the portion size is generous, I have to disagree. It used to be but not anymore. And for the price I think it's on the expensive side.

We had curry chee cheong fun which was very nice but portion was small. I wish they would give more cheong fun. Laksa yong tau fu was also quite nice and portion size was average but for $15.90 it was on the expensive end. Wat Tan Hor was the third dish we ordered and I would rate this dish 8/10

Overall, the food here is authentic and I will definite be back whenever I have cravings for yong tau foo."
