"Went during weekday for dinner. It was clearly a family owned restaurant. Lightly decorated, practical, functional. Food served on plastic ware. The food was was excellent. Lots of flavor, lots of spice. Everything tasted great. Can't wait to try something new here."

"Average home made food, mind it they're not cooking main course in the food truck. It is already made and kept in fridge. Only roti and aloo parontha are made fresh. I tried roti, aloo parontha, chicken curry (which was super cold froze and not tasty at all) and dahi. Serve with butter like in India. Food is average not really amazing as i see the reviews. As far as parontha worth to pay rest I feel I just wasted my money. I work hard to eat good food and if my food is not as per expectation I'll be disappointed. After all nothing is free and cheap. ?????It would be good if, they'll put more variety of paronthas only, it can be more in demand like mooli, gobi, anda or pyaaz parontha or mix of these. And just Aachar and dahi will work with tea or masala tea. No need so many other main course. If you really want to know what actually an authentic Indian food taste like this is one of the spot but not any hotel or restaurant. Not really spicy very mild food so it lost its authenticity. Totally disappointed ? ? I think the reviews are not correct also. Only east indian reviews are good but I guess they're just trying to support. Which is ok, but they need to be true as well. Hope to see some good tasty changes in food in near future."

"What an amazing buffet! Often Indian buffets are often a bit bland, but not here. Great selection of food all fresh and hot. The staff was friendly the place was spotless. Don't let the exterior fool you This restaurant's amazing and a must try!"

"This was my first time eating here. As other reviewers have noted, it is not a fancy place. However, my meal was served on food service grade china dishes, and I ate it with food service standard silverware. Curiously, I was given a fork and spoon but no knife. My friend got the same silverware kit. That made for a challenge eating my mutton karrahi, but it was a challenge that I gladly accepted.

I had a restaurant.com gift certificate, and they handled it without any questions. At this place, you order at the counter, pay for your meal, and then they bring it out to you. I ordered the mutton karrahi, mixed vegetable curry, and whole wheat roti. Like Sheesh Mahal on May Avenue, the meat entrees do not come with rice or bread; you have to order those separately. That means you can't eat here for less than $10 at lunch if you want to have a good size protein and starch. However, if you don't mind having a smaller amount of protein, you can go for one of their meat biryanis.

The mutton karrahi was simply delicious. Picture chunks of mutton sitting in a thick tomato sauce flavored with jalapenos to make it nice and spicy. It hit a home run with my mouth. The roti was just the right amount of bland to quench the fire from the jalapenos. The mixed vegetable curry, however, was a mushy mess. It came with the same vegetables as in the menu description (i.e. peas, cauliflower, potatoes), but they cooked the vegetables in a generous amount of oil until the vegetables got mushy. This is the opposite of stir fry, when the vegetables come out crisp. I don't care for mushy cauliflower, so this part of my meal was only okay. On a future visit, I would like to try the spinach or okra since I enjoy those vegetables when they are cooked as long as the vegetables in my order today.

The service was friendly and attentive. We were the first lunch customers at noon. I was a bit worried when two employees opened up the restaurant just a minute before noon. I wondered if we were in for slow service. However, we were served around 12:25 pm, and it was quite possible to finish eating by 1:00 pm.

Overall, this place is worth another trip."
