"The food at Sitar is always tasty and the service is great. I have always been surprised by the number of people that dine here or order takeaway. It seems to be a very popular choice among the locals. The naan bread is better at Sultan's Kitchen, across the road, but the atmosphere (including pavement tables) is the drawcard."

"This restaurant has been on the radar for a while due to its high Zomato rating. <br/>It was roaring with activity when we entered as you might expect on a Saturday night, and the staff looked run off their feet.<br/>It took us a short wait to get a table. Our order was taken quickly and incredibly the food arrived hot and freshly made on our table within 10 minutes. They must be a well run, well organised kitchen. <br/>The restaurant is described as a Thai style Asian restaurant, which is not a bad description as it has a pan-Asian menu with a little more on emphasis on Thai dishes. I would not expect authenticity for the Thai dishes here, that is not what this restaurant is about.<br/>We ordered a tom yum goong (prawns tom yum soup , coconut rice and chilli tamarind prawns. <br/>I noted on the menu that the tom yum comes with noodles which is a little unusual. The tom yum soup was flavoursome and the thin noodles did not detract from the dish, and pretty much made it a main course rather than a soup. Thankfully it was not sweet! (That is a real problem with Thai dishes in Brisbane. I rate this dish a 4. <br/>The coconut rice was obviously freshly prepared. It was piping hot and moist. <br/>The prawns with chilli and tamarind unfortunately was sweet, which detracted from what would have otherwise been a pretty decent dish. It had a well caramelised sauce and the prawns were cooked well. Overall it rated 3.5. <br/>When I later asked why they make sweet a dish that should be spicy, sour and tangy, I got the old refrain that it caters to 'Australian ' palates. They did however confirm that I could request for the dish to be made without the sweetness. <br/>The rating of 4 is mainly for the fact that they provided a well cooked set of dishes quickly and with attentive service despite being so busy."

"This restaurant has been around for years but it is some time since I have been there for a meal. After having visited a few nights ago (February I am glad I returned as the food certainly didn't disappoint. The servings were a good...size and every mouthful from the samosas, pakoras and tandoori chicken entrees to the butter chicken and lamb rogon josh were sensationally tasty. The service from the long time manager was excellent. We both had an enjoyable evening and dining experience"

"Very "run of the mill" food which has been over-Westernized. Disappointing. No booking required. Wait staff were very good but this did not make up for the boring food. Decide what cuisine you are doing and stick to that one style!"

"Scherhazade is ok for a Friday takeaway if you're not expecting anything earth-shatteringly amazing. The naans are nice and fluffy, but the mains are not particularly inspiring or seasoned well. We used to be regulars however standards have started declining and we're finding more and more gristle and fatty meat. Not sure we'll be back again."

"We have eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks, each time have enjoyed the food. On my second visit I had the Yum Chicken. It was a generous serve, and all the salad looked and tasted very fresh. The couple with us on our...first visit were most happy with their meals. There are many meals under $19 and they all seem good value. Its a good place to go for an hour or so for quality Thai food."
