"Thinking it looked like an authentic Portuguese spot we dined here before heading to the airport. The food was passable, wine undrinkable and the hospitality woeful. It was very apparent that English people weren't welcome as EVERY other group of diners ie. non UK were given a free as shot of Ginja (a Portuguese liqueur) before leaving and we weren't, which was pretty vile. We are actually Irish but they weren't to know, but I've never experienced anything like it before. Perhaps it was because we declined the large fish that was shoved in our faces when we sat down or the cling film wrapped plate of sweaty cheese and cured ham that was plonked on the table along with the bread. Be warned: neither are free. The platter (which grumpy, personality devoid waiter returned to the bar counter) was €12 and the (what's customarily free across the world) bread rolls, €4. Avoid."

"The food in this place is quite delicious. The taste was all there and the portions are in good size per person. For appetizers I had the Samosas and they are well filled with the right touch of spicy. The main court was good and everything went away. The price per person is pretty good. The staff was helpful. "Good food with surly service, lots of extras you never ordered, and even charging for the unsolicited items you refuse. As mentioned in other reviews, hopefully you never have a problem with the order. If you do, you immediately get the stink eye. Our issue was very minor that was easily fixed and we all immediately noticed a complete 180 in attitude. The waiter tried to recover, but he couldn’t mask the fact that he was irritated. A shame because the food truly was good, even the hot pasteis we didn’t order. Also, watch your bill. We found ourselves still getting charged for unsolicited items we immediately refused. With better service and more integrity, I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place."
