"We ordered the butter chicken and lamb korma which was the special of the day. Both dishes were bland. Serving consisted mostly of rice with store bought naan bread. Dahl was soupy. Had great hopes that we would like this restaurant but sadly disappointed."

"This is hands-down my favourite restaurant in St. John's. If you're looking for a selection of mild, homestyle Afghani curries, well, this is the only place you'll find it. The non-vegetarian meal is my apex comfort food: a mountain of buttery basmati rice served with...a sea of daal, a root vegetable curry side with cinnamon, a tender chicken curry, and sometimes a very nice cabbage or ground lamb. I order this with one or two of their crispy fried naans, a tea or coffee with cardamom, and proceed to eat all of my feelings."

"You could tell the food had been there for a while. The carrots were black around the edges. The sauces were dry. Nothing but bones in the spareribs. Very little vegetables in an extremely salty sauce. I had half a meatball and had to use my napkin .. it was awful. At $30 per person I was extremely disappointed. The only reason I’m giving 2 starts is because of the server who was good. Don’t waste your money"

"Disgusting place to order food from ! Absolutely waste of my precious money, time, taste and patience. Food was entirely cold, vegetables were literally raw in the korma which made it even more disgusting, under-seasoned, alongside that the butter chicken was so bland in taste and both the spice. If it were for a rate of 10, I?d probably give 1. I will request others not to fall for the fake reviews because their food is of topnotch bad quality."

"This is a must go to restaurant if you like east Indian cuisine. If you want fancy ambience go elsewhere but if you want incredible but simple and authentic food this is the spot. Be prepared to help yourself to the water machine if you need a drink lol GREAT FOOD!"

"Most of the Indian/Pakistani restaurants claim to serve authentic food, but that claim is most of the time not true. This Pakistani restaurant came close to that claim. The menu is simple and I think that’s what did the trick. Either choose between lamb platter lamb curry, 2 kinds of lentils, pickle, chutney, rice, vegetables) or chicken platter everything same as lamb platter, except meat which is chicken). We ordered both and found the food almost authentic and it came almost close to what you will have in a typical Pakistani household. The place got busy very quickly. Curries were tasty and so was rice. vegetables could have been better if freshly sautéed, chutney could also have been a lot better. I requested salted lassi and it was yummy. Naan was not what you would expect as a typical Pakistani naan. Something they could change and make the competition more nervous. Service also could improve. Overall I would say 20 times better than any fancy Indian restaurant. If you are in town, try their food and your heart will be totally satisfied."
