"So after trying all the costas in Bedford this one is my favourite purely for one member of staff her name is Chantel and in over a year has never made a bad coffee always is friendly even if she’s working alone and it’s busy and I’m really greatful for this diamond of a coffee maker , how she isn’t a manager shocks me she would be wonderful your missing out Costa this girl really represents your shop awesomely you should consider elevating her up , 5 stars To summarise my review ….give Chantel a raise at least if not a manager position"

"Coffee was excellent. Better than the hundreds of Costa shops that are about, I always come here instead of going to their 'drive thru 's '. Cakes/cold snacks are decent as well. They do have a small outdoor seating area Service is average. The staff seem more interested in their phones than customer service, and can be quite short with customers. Overall a 4, as the decent coffee is my main priority."

"Booked literally at the last minute so we surprised to get a table. Was busy but not all crammed in The menu was great, so much to choose from and many items with a little twist not the same old pub grub. We all chose roast with three meats. The cauliflower cheese was superb (served as an extra portion for two but as it was only me wanting it, the gentleman served me a half sized portion at half the cost). The veg had some sort of buttery coating…delicious I had brixworth pate with bread and apple and other half had home made fried dumplings for starters, as I say, unusual items on menu but really good. Lovely big garden to sit out in the summer but we stayed indoors today as a bit cold. Nice decor, clean and tidy The staff were all very polite and attentive. Very friendly pub and we will definitely return soon."

"The longholme is the perfect place for a bite to eat or to warm up with a delicious hot chocolate (my sohn can not enough) or the best coffee in the city, no one comes close! we had recently a great evening for halloween there and enjoyed us very much. last night we were at “Gin Yard” it has blown us away, delicious eating, delicious cocktails and a beautiful environment. the longholme staff was fabulous and we had a fantastic evening. Thank you for having us!"

"A nice little find near Bedford town centre. The lady at the counter was very friendly although service was a little slow, I think perhaps we were the first customers of the day though so maybe the coffee machine wasn't fully heated up. There were a couple of vegan cakes on offer, I tried the chocolate cake which was lovely and moist. The only negative was that on their website I thought it said the scones were vegan but I was told when we got there that they actually contain milk : Definitely worth a visit though."

"Popped in to warm up after the village Christmas Fete in the local Hall. Made to feel very welcome for drinks and nibbles. The drinks choice was extensive and well stocked. A variety of lagers, ciders and wines which suited us perfectly. The menu looked...great, and certainly the nearby table were enjoying their roast dinners."
