"Expensive and food way too hot to eat for any human being on the planet, don't order Bombay aloo as in normal Indian restaurants they contain potatoes, not this one, zero potatoes and a sauce full of butter beans. If you do choose this restaurant make sure you as for mild otherwise it will be wasted, we wasted 200€ of food due to no one on the table being able to eat the tikka masala, chicken curry, or madras, plus other dishes all were too hot to enjoy sadly"

"We know Bergerac pretty much inside out, and have often enjoyed a drink outside the Riche. The thing is, you can always get a table, and will very often be the only people there. The façade tells a story of faded glory, and the interior is from another world, a seventies renovation of a grand belle epoque saloon. The owner is affable, approachable, always impeccably presented in traditional service attire, and the waiter is helpful, friendly getting on a bit, with a commitment to service to match. The low-key, rather fusty image seems to discourage people looking for a good lunch, but the reticence is massively misplaced. It's a fabulous find! Last week We ate here for the first time; The menu is small, hyper-traditional and appears to be good value. However, when the food arrives, it's a genuine almighty surprise, almost gourmet in presentation and absolutely delicious! Duck breast or leg, entrecote, toulouse sausages or salad, presented to perfection. Desserts are crême brulée or cheeses, all excellent. France is losing all its traditional gems like this, being replaced by ghastly poke bars and super-expensive vegetarian flannel where you get right-on politics served with your spiralised quinoa. Give all that a miss, have a lovely steak frites and a jug of wine at Café le Riche, Bergerac's best kept secret!"

"Vegan salad for the lady, plancha jamon for the gentleman, cabecou and her ratatouille for both. fresh indeed, very good products for an affordable price. Maybe a little cheek for big appetites, but we have peeled the plates of the table next to it: nice lasagna to the salmon that made you want. We'll be back there for lunch breaks. We ate well, and healthy that is more, for 10 balls (the next time in less canicular time, we will test the dishes). only flat, the coffee at 2.50 which shows in the value/price ratio. tested"

"Visited here after viewing countless positive reviews. 2 things to pick from on a chalkboard, one be a croq and another plate of salad with ham and potatoes. We went with the croq and they out their own twist on it which made it the...same as a standard toasted sandwich you would find in a bar in the UK. The wine came out in the tiniest quantity (3.50 per glass) Food was average, service was minimal. Much better local places for cheap eats if that's what you are after (omelette place nearby is amazing)"

"I used to stop at Le Moka for a cup of coffee when in Bergerac, but my last visit was a bit of a surprise - no Le Moka but an interesting new cafe called Le Luang Prabang's Cafe. Anyway, the coffee is still good and a good sandwich topped it."
