"This restaurant is easy to miss, as it's not advertised on the outside of the Lodge at all. Having already been on the road for a while without breakfast we were very glad to find it. Prices were a tad high, but we expected that in a resort community, and the food was excellent. Scrambled eggs were light and fluffy and perfectly seasoned. Waitress was attentive and friendly."

"We had a great breakfast 2 mornings in a row! Bagels were delicious and fresh, breakfast sandwiches were hearty and not too expensive. Kids loved it. Very friendly, efficient staff."

"If the This place sucks reviews to keep hidden gems hidden was a restaurant this is it.Don't be surprised if after your first visit you get why locals would want to keep it a hidden gem. This Cafe boasts beautifully crafted fare for all tastes from grab and go to sit and dine you'll be glad you grabbed. The power balls and coffee combo is a quick hit of satisfying goodness. Need substance? the breakfast burrito comes with salsa and sour cream. "My wife loved the cabbage roll soup, and the bun served with it was so fresh and as big as a house. The Jamaican Pastie was gorgeous and my grilled Thanksgiving Sandwich was very tasty. Lovely quaint cafe, not much room for sitting but lots of people appeared to be taking it out."

"We were in Fernie during the summer and ordered food to take away. Upon arrival, the place was very slow with very few customers. I was thinking uh-oh maybe the food isn't great. Wrong. The food exceeded all expectations. Came out promptly, hot and plentiful....Prices seemed on par with other pub style restaurants and it's a cut above in terms of flavour."

"Great home cooked food and social atmosphere. The hot chocolate is great as are the choice of snacks and sandwiches. Must admit the chicken noodle soup that some of the locals were eating looked awesome although I missed it on the menu. We had lattes...and cake I had the carrot cake cup cake which was delicious and hubby had the apple slice. Friendly staff and we were even offered a taste of the mocha icing yummy"

"Kelsey's is right on the ski hill, so was very convenient as we were staying on the hill. I had booked a reservation for a party of 20 for the last night the restaurant was open. Gui - the manager was outstanding! I met with him earlier in the day, and he offered to put together 3 specials since the menu was limited, giving us steak, pasta and ribs to choose from. We were a group of 20 with a mixture of adults and kids and the service was quick, the food was hot and delicious and reasonably priced, but most of all we really appreciated the extra attention we were given. We would definitely go back!"
