"OK perhaps not the classiest surroundings, but the lady running Mello is delightful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a Groupon which gave us afternoon tea for two for £12 and it was excellent value. Copious amounts of really fresh tasty sandwiches and nice cakes (not sure if any of the latter were home made but they were good). The blend of coffee they use is excellent and she gave me a second large coffee included in the price. As we'd booked she'd set aside a table in the coolest place as it was a scorching hot day which was thoughtful of her!"

"This is a small bakery without sitting inside, but I think the quality of their food is much better than bakers ofen. they make fresh custom sandwiches at the place, with a good selection of sandwich fillings that are built and visible in their display unit. they also make hot breakfast baps. I never have to wait long to be served, but it can be difficult to get out when there are more than a few people in the load. I think they would benefit from some tables chairs for customers outside the shop."

"Nice refurbishment. I had the New York Deli toasted sandwich, which was ok but not great, and at quite pricey for the quality. The weekday menus of the day look interesting, (Mon Weds), Thurs, Fri). All are course and a single different combination each day which seems rather inflexible. But, what a shame the daily carvery has gone.....now only available on Sundays. This was very good and what the restaurant was known for (as the menu says, since and very well priced, differently depending on the day/time. My server said complaints about the removal of the daily carvery were very common. Service was excellent, I wanted to leave a cash tip (I'd already paid by card and unlike previously service hadn't been added, which is an improvement), but as I didn't have change I couldn't they had no change as they are now cashless which I would think might not suit all customers. because of the good service and nice refurbishment. I'll try the carvery again on a Sunday; here's hoping it will be reinstated soon."

"We were staying and the Lord Lister Hotel next door and used the pub avery day of our stay. There was a selection of cask ales plus lagers and ciders. The pub had a real atmosphere and was always busy. The staff were very...knowledgeable about the drinks on offer and were very pleasant. The pub served standard pub food and had a vey good beer garden and limited car parking. I would certainly return if in the area again."

"I have been here several times now on recent work visits to Royston. Lovely coffee! (Caramel latte) spotted Chicken,bacon and avocado Roll on the menu it was amazing! I have since been back and had it in a sandwich to. Would and have recommended!! I look forward to going back! Keen to try their milkshakes as they look incredible! Seen so much lovely food being served! The staff are so friendly to. If your looking for somewhere to eat or drink in Royston this is a must visit!!"

"Big little fund on the hitchin high street! very friendly, fast service and eating was delicious. we were in a position to sit outside in a covered opposite on the back of the caffe. gluten-free food is available, including a selection of Fab cookies. will come back in any case!"
