"We've been regulars at the Boreal Bistro ever since we learned it was kid friendly [it does have a children's menu] and Chef Tetz wowed us with his steaks grilled to perfection. If the wait times are sometimes long, it's because everything is prepared fresh made to order. No frozen deep-fried entrees here. It's not fast food, I don't mind sitting and having a relaxing evening of dining.Our favourite things are the steaks, ribs, and burgers, but everything here is great. We've had more than one pleasant surprise with the nightly specials. Not to be missed is their personal pizzas, drowning in cheese and made fresh daily. The pulled pork pizza was amazing.Special mention has to be made about chef's beet-nuts, which are pink spudnuts. If you get the chance to try one of his fresh made beet-nuts, don't hesitate, they sell out quickly. Fresh food made to order, great service, special events like buffets and gourmet nights, we really don't like to go anywhere else in P.A after experiencing this place.My only complaint is that the location [being in downtown] is somewhat sketchy, but as more people come out to enjoy the cuisine, perhaps the area will improve."

"We order from Vern's on the very odd occasion but they have been selling exactly the same pizzas for years now .No new creations or effort to come up with something , still a pretty good pie , but it is certainly not cheap. Stay away from the single slice rack , they keep it far to long and it should be sold a lot cheaper."

"Visited here a few days ago. The sub was good and nothing wrong with the service but I wish more Subway's served the Spicy Italian. Anyway, this was the first Subway we had in Prince Albert, SK. There are four outlets in the city now."

"Showed up with a group of 10 sports parents, no reservation on a Friday night at 8:30pm and expected to wait but we didn 't! Were seated almost before the last of the group could walk in the door! Cassandra was very quick and efficient with...a mix and match of drink and food orders. Lights were pretty low which allowed easy viewing of all the big screen TV 's but poor for reading the menu actually had to use our cellphones to read the menu really embarrassed the younger set at our table but someday they too will understand! Caesar was just the right spice but too much ice for my liking, all the meals along the table looked fantastic and were served all at the same time so no one was left waiting. 'Some Assembly Required ' on the Dragon Boat Lettuce wraps! The leaves were big enough but you have to load the chicken, veggies and chow mien noodles and roll them yourself, a bit messy and difficult with the low light, but nothing that couldn 't be cleaned up with a fork!. Butter chicken is curry based so you need to be a fan of curry. Chicken breast was very fresh and blended very nicely with the bowl of brown rice and spiced yogurt. $48 tab and 15% tip was reasonable for the amount of food in a pub style environment. Very positive experience with both food and service and will definitely return. Thanks for a very relaxing evening, sports parents appreciate that, especially after a long day of round robin tournament play!"
