"The service was very good, they were very polite, it also looked very clean and organised behind the till, I was waiting a little longer than they said which was a little bit of an issue as I was on a time limite and hm couldn't then eat in which wasn't great, but the food overall was very tasty, would recommend, just wish it was a little quicker as I was in a rush"

"Called in for my lunch. The shop offers a variety of freshly made sandwiches together with a number of daily specials, jacket potatoes, cakes etc. I had a toasted ham and Brie panini with onion marmalade, which was very enjoyable."

"We specifically came to eat Sunday lunch As we were shown out seats we were told all the roasts had now sold out ! I can understand this as we were eating late and it’s a special So we ordered from the menu to be told 5 of the starters had also run out The main courses options was also restricted too As a popular pub/ restaurant I can not see why your not sufficiently stocked up on the regular menu items We did get a round of drinks on the house but still very annoying Price per person: £30–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"We visited last night for dinner with our friends. Firstly, the inside of the pub has a wonderful old school feel to it that is rare nowadays. Nice open fire going and great atmosphere. For food, we had a sharing platter between four of us...then for main we had the feather blade steak, duck and pork belly. All absolutely fantastic. The service throughout was superb and the wine was well priced. We left at 11 after three hours well fed and well oiled and the bill was more than reasonable for what we had. Really impressed. My only criticism would be the desert. We all had the Black Forest Eton mess and there was far too much cream and little else. It’s a shame as we all said if this was as good as the starter and main it would be up there with the best meals we have ever had. All in all, bravo to the church inn. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and top level service."
