"In one of our multiple escapes to euskadi (the land of my partner) we met with 3 other couples to travel along the coast of gipuzkoana and in particular in our stay in San Sebastian we find the txalupa restaurant. This typical and small restaurant is located in the heart of the city of San Sebastián, more specifically in the old town of the Donostiarra capital next to the square of the constitution. is one of the most typical places to try the famous Basque pintxos, such as the meat brooch, the tortillas or its codito, along with the most characteristic dishes of the region. your dining room is small with only 15 tables available. In our case we were eating a bit of everything, we tried its mixed salad, seafood paella, txipis in its ink, veal with fries, merluza in salsa and dessert we have already tried so delicious strawberries with cream and its rice with milk and cinnamon."

"Very popular eaterie in the Old Town. Was hoping to have lunch at the bar last Friday but the queue was too long (they only take reservations for the restaurant). I returned on Saturday before opening time and luckily got a seat at the far end. The food and wine were excellent and the service by Anne and the young guy serving the wine was first class. Can't wait to go back"
