"Service: The service was amazing such a friendly and attentive staff member who was happy to explain each dish to us and remembered us when we came back the next day. Food: The food was great! It's mostly vegan with a couple of vegetarian dishes. There's a wonderful variety between sweet and savory and an opportunity to try typical dishes that normally would never be vegan (tortilla de patata, etc. The only thing that wasn't great was that the food is pre made and left out, then microwaved when you choose something (this seems to be pretty standard for tapas in Spain, not just for this place but it results in unevenly heated food or bread that gets hard in the microwave. Other than that, the food is amazing and such a safe haven for vegans! We returned twice in two days! Prices: the prices were unbelievably cheap my husband and I got 5 tapas, 2 cakes, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water, and coffee all for 12 euros!"

"Quite surprised by some of the reviews this restaurant received. Our experience for lunch here was completely amazing. We stumbled upon it while walking the small alleys of the old Salamanca Universidad area, around the corner from Casa de las Conchas. Dully note that when you sit on the outside tables of restaurants they will charge you extra, this is true in almost all of the restaurants in Salamanca. Some of the restaurants we looked at actually had a completely different menu price for sitting outside, the same exact dishes would cost 2-5 Euros more when sitting outside. Per dish. Crazy. The son of the owners, Ivan, was our server, and he was very humble and cool. Ivan told us that if we sit outside instead of inside there is a 1 Euro fee. We were happy to hear that and chose to sit outside anyways. He welcomed us with open arms while certain other establishments would treat us with a bit of prejudice. He tried his best to speak English with me but of course it became a challenge so he continued his conversations in Spanish with my husband, while my husband translated for me. We had the set menu for 10 Euros each, a great bargain, which included an appetizer for each person, a main course for each, a dessert for each, along with a glass each of our choice of drinks (wine, beer, soda, whatever) and bread. But Ivan just dropped off half a bottle of wine on our table and told me I could pour as much as I want. I finished the whole bottle. We had so much food and drinks altogether for only 25 Euros, that also included a bottle of water, 2 cups of coffee and some extra drinks like sangria that we ordered afterwards. He also brought out this bottle of liqueur that he said Salamancan´s drink their coffee with. It´s their version of Bailey´s, but better. He poured each of us a shot glass and told us to sip it with our coffee. Then he left the bottle on our table and told us to drink as much as we wanted. Customer service at its best! The food was good as well, which was a surprise. Usually set menus tend to only serve the dishes that are not their best sellers. I had the Salamancan seasonal soup, the Merluza a la plancha (grilled fish in awesome sauce), and gave my dessert to my husband. We actually stayed there until they were closing to go on vacation. While they were packing away furniture and cleaning up, they blasted some really old school American rock songs. We did notice that all around Salamanca most of the restaurants and shops were closed. It´s hard to tell which ones were just closed because it´s siesta time and which ones were closed to go on vacation. Some places will put up hand-written signs to say when they are closed. So just beware of these things when you visit Salamanca in the Summer."
