"The first time we went, it was ok at best with good service. This time we came with a game plan to focus on the appies and sides (that had been good the first time) and less on the pasta. However, everything was awesome, including the pasta. We had the creamy chicken campanelle and the chorizo tomato rigatoni. Really happy. Service still very good! Hopefully our first visit was a one off, and it'll be this good every time!"

"Bodega is on Trounce Alley and is right next to another tapas joint. The problem is that the other tapas bar web site was not working right so Bodega became our choice by default. This turned out to be our most memorable meal in Victoria. We started with Garlic Prawns which were perfectly cooked and swimming in amazing garlic butter. We tried to figure out how to take the garlic butter with us but the amazing tasty bread worked it out for us. Lentils, kale, mushrooms, chorizo and sherry vinegar were another delightful and healthy taste. We enjoyed their Marinated Eggplant Salad with goat cheese. Again, getting our vegetables on vacation was made possible. The Cerdo Con Atun which was pork shoulder wrapped around greens with a tuna aioli and caperberries. Everything was great but the tuna aioli was the most impressive element and something we have never tasted before. What would tapas be without Patates Bravas? This was a great version and was probably put us over the top for just a little too much food! Nicely crispy potatoes are always the keyWe were very impressed with Bodega. It was our favourite meal from this visit to V.I. Our server was so friendly and efficient (and she laughed at my jokes).!"

"Stumbled upon this hidden gem on Granville whilst here on holidays. The whole experience at the Fish Shack was amazing. Our lovely Australian server Claire really made our afternoon. Great menu knowledge and recommendations"

"I was visiting Victoria with my family including a dog and Kelly made this meal the most wonderful experience during our entire trip. It was a windy and snowy day and we were looking for a good restaurant that could seat my party including our dog. Patios were our only option. We were the only party seated outside in 0 degree weather but Kelly made our meal so delightful with swift service. She was highly attentive, turned on the heater outside for us, and came to check on us regularly with the most impeccable timing. When she noticed it started drizzling she quickly got the kitchen to get our churros started before we even asked. I highly recommend Tapa Bar if you're looking for a pet friendly restaurant with amazing food and heated patio. Everything we had was delicious. I would highly recommend the happy hour shrimp (gambas) with ajillo sauce. Mussels, wings and the complimentary focaccia bread were all yummy!"

"Ate here with my family for lunch. Was recommended to us by the hotel right down the street. Dark and cool inside but that just led to the atmosphere. The Thai food here was wonderful! Had the soup for starters and then the Dragon #22 for lunch. Both were wonderful and full of flavor! The service was excellent, very nice and attentive staff. If you need a nice quiet lunch to relax after walking around Granville Island, this is the place to go!!"

"I ordered a chicken burger with salad. Burger came over dressed. Meat slipped out of the bun there was so much dressing on it. Scraped off what I could but still was overpowered with the taste of dressing, couldn't finish it. Salad had pumpkin seeds...in it. I am allergic. Didn't have time to wait for a replacement item. Was offered Chips to go. No thanks. No discount was applied. Complained to their social media, seen that they had viewed my message, No response until I messaged a second time a few days later. Was offered an apology, nothing more. Didn't seem like anyone cared on any platform."
