"My husband and I were on a hunt for PR food. We googled and came across Isla Bonita. The second we arrived we knew and felt like we were at home. All the PR decor around the restaurant was so beautiful. We ordered our food and the waitress was nice and very attentive to our needs. Ordered and Alcapurria and a Sorrulito. Both tasted excellent. While we were eating I noticed there were some Cuban decorations as well and even Dominican. I spoke with the gentleman upfront and it ended up being the Owner Gus! He was awesome and his partner Charlie as well. He told me he is going to be upgrading the menu there will be a little a bit of all islands. I love this concept. My food came breaded steak) and so did my husbands Mofongo de pernil) and we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning and recommending this location. I can't rave enough on what a great experience it was. Beautiful, clean, quick and Food was incredible! What more can you ask for!"

"The restaurant is in a nice location, but that pretty much gives the restaurant free reign to over charge for food and allow their servers and staff to ignore their tables. We had to request, Raul, our server for the night, to acknowledge we were at the table after 15 minutes of being seated. The food itself was OK at best, the drinks were better than the food. I got the skirt steak with rice and i had to double check if i cracked my tooth from the rice. The “culinary” team this restaurant prides themselves on produces mediocre food there i said it. Our waiter Raul did not check on us once while we were eating nor did he try to accommodate busing of dishes that were finished, filling of water glasses, or even asking if we wanted another drink with our meal. We asked for our side of sweet potato to be wrapped up and it was thrown out by staff. Yes, they made us new boiled sweet potatoes with no frills as in the order thanks a lot for throwing out the original order and offering boiled sweet potatoes as the replacement. Overall, for a $300+ meal for 4, it was not worth it. Will not be back, unfortunately."
