"My favourite store for Japanese foods and ingredients. Quality is always top notch, selection is great, and prices are reasonable. Be sure to scan the freezer section for some great hidden gems like mentaiko, katsuo tataki, and tako if there's none in the fresh foods display cabinet. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Many thanks!"

"Absolutely delicious. Super fresh and super yummy. They have fresh Wasabi! You know the sashimi is gonna be good when they use fresh Wasabi. The outside looks like a strange hole in the wall sushi joint, but the menu says different! Look at my pics and you'll. See what I mean. Order everything!!!"

"Food: 3.5/5      Service: 4/5      Atmosphere: 3/5      Price: Avg.$25/person<br/ Return: Sure          Must try item(s): Sushi Balls<br/ <br/ An interesting place to have Japanese Fusion food with my friends in Richmond. I thought it is expensive but it is not, perhaps, its all about the location. It is located on No. 3 Rd and right next to the Parker Place. Since it has no alcohol Permit, it is all about food quality in this fusion restaurant. Back to the food, it has traditional sushi, sashimi, and sushi rolls. In contrast, the restaurant also has some Fusion sushi, sashimi, and sushi rolls for customers to choose. The most interesting thing about this restaurant is the chef put lots of effort and creativity on the food, such as the Mickey Mouse Salmon Tuna Tarta, and Sushi Balls. If you were not sure what to eat or this is your first time to try out this place, I would suggest you to try their signature dish – Sushi Balls (it looks like a Mushroom and a Dragon Ball to me) Overall, the food quality is average, and the price is fair. If I come back to try again, I will enjoy their creativity on the food more than the taste of the food. :D<br/ <br/ Follow me if you liked my post :D"

"I like food, I eat when I am happy, I eat when I am sad, I eat when I am bored, and I eat to say I have eaten it. Today I wanted to eat my feelings and my guest suggested hot pot. Hot pot is one of those comforting meals where you cook the food at your table. The process of eating as you cook gives you plenty of time to talk. The goal is to eat all that you can and claim your money’s worth."

"Izumiya is one of a few Japanese grocery/goods stores in Richmond. Upon entering and going clockwise, they have sections with: rice and mochi cakes; fruits and vegetables like kabocha squash, sweet potatoes, shishito peppers, gobo root, naganegi, daikon, enoki/white and brown shimeji/shiitake mushrooms (FYI they are all from countries other than Japan ; a cosmetics area; some freezers with various meats/fish/veggies; kitchen/bathroom items; then aisles with candy (popping candy, jellies , different KitKats (found Cafe Latte and Ume Plum today! , and local brand Coconama chocolate bars (the Matcha Black Sesame is amazing , cookies (Country Ma'am, Koala's March , Choco Pies, Pocky/Peejoy/Picola, teas/coffees, sauces/vinegars/oils, noodles (soba/somen , canned/bottled/packaged sweets (like for Fruits Mitsumame , spices and dry packaged seasonings, dried beans (adzuki beans from Alberta! ; fridges with canned/bottled drinks, jelly desserts and protein jelly drinks, Coconama truffles, savoury toppings/pickles; a meat/fish/fish cake section; more aisles with instant ramen, curries, pancake mix, furikake, potato chips, more candies and snacks, savoury and sweet rice crackers; and back to the front of the store skin/hair care products; some baked and seasonal goods; and cooking gadgets. No sushi/bento boxes but I think that is re Covid. Then there is candy/gum at the checkouts. So a good size store. Not too big/crowded and not too small with little selection. Just right! Daniel"

"A hidden gem? Yes, it’s hidden inside a side road surrounded by constructions and it’s hidden on the ground floor inside a concrete medium height building, but not a gem! The food offered is as ordinarily delicious as other Chinese dim sum restaurants, and no distinct items of its own. Parking is ok it has its own designated parking stalls in the building’s parking area. Credit card is acceptable, but cash is the king free tea if paid by bills!"
