"Hands down THE place to eat sushi in the Hakone area. I liked it so much the first time around that I traveled over an hour to go there again. Be prepared to wait at lunchtime. Big portions and excellent prices."

"Super fancy course meal that seems to have many traditional Japanese components. While some of the lead up courses were not really fitting of our Western tongues we found the main course to be absolutely amazing! We suggest the beef course as they brought it out on a coal fired skillet for which you could cook it to your perfection. Was some of the most delicious beef and salmon we have ever had."

"Absolutely amazing sushi, likely the best in Hakone although I haven’t tasted every ryokan’s! You can tell it’s run by a family who puts their heart into the food. The owners and staff are kind and hospitable to no end please ignore the reviews about how they treat foreigners, they’re just trying to say that they can’t take any more patrons at the moment and people get offended for no reason."

"The teriyaki chicken is so good! Tenbula is also not bad, a bit pricy tho. If you come on Wednesday, most of the places are closed. Then this is your best choice I’ll recommend ;"

"Small traditional Japanese eatery. Despite not speaking Japanese, we were able to enjoy the great service by the elderly lady that speaks pretty good English. English and Chinese menu provided for ease of ordering. One of the few places that open till late at Hakone."
