"We usually come here when we are in town, and it is consistently good. To be fair, my friend know the owner and are loyal but I agree that it is great sushi and great service every time. I've tried the rolls, and the sashimi, my daughter enjoyed some Udon soup and I love the Suzuki salad. We all love the ice cream when we save room for it! Unfortunately they usually run out of the Asahi when we are here, pretty much every time."

"We ended up at this restaurant because it was the only one we could get a seat at on the patio. The other restaurants we tried in the area had hour to hour and a half waiting lists. It is right on the board walk on the waterfront. A very nice place to have a drink and watch the world walk by.The menu was largely Japanese but also curries and grilled items like rack of lamb. We tried to order the Teppanyaki , but the chef wouldn't do it outside on the patio when it was so busy. The next item I tried to order had already run out for the evening. I ended up ordering the Mediterranean chicken with Naan bread. It was okay. It tasted a bit like pizza toppings without the pizza crust. The service was just okay. The patio seemed to close early for such a busy night. Our waitress eluded to the fact that they were running low on to many items? I find that a little hard to believe for such a prominent location. There was a very angry man who tried to be seated about 9pm and he didn't want to believe that the patio was closing.I didn't realize it at the time, but the restaurant uses the public washroom as it's facilities. I wondered because it seemed a little dirty. Had it been a really busy part of the day, there may have been a lineup."

"After reading the many good reviews we had to try it! Casual dining in a very clean place. We had a garden salad, many rolls, tuna nigiri, salmon nigiri, endamame, green tea and finished with ginger ice cream. All super fresh ingredients. We will be back!"

"Fresh sashimi with fresh ambience. If you are a Sushi/Raw fish fan, then a great place to go. The Tonkotsu Ramen was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it."

"I was craving some sushi and Fujiyama was right there, I had too.I was not a fan of the atmosphere at all, but I like to let the food do the talking.I asked a few questions and the waitress looked at me funny. No I am not a sushi aficionado, I know a bit and have ate at really amazing places, some bad ones too.The miso soup here is not that good, I would only get it if it was part of what I was ordering like a bento box.The fish was ok, it was not the best sashimi I've ever had, but they were a nice size. However, plating was quite nice.They use artificial crab, that is ok, it tastes good, but it is a way to set expectations.Overall, worth the stop, but at its price point I would like a bit better."

"My man and I went to one of our favorite restaurants today, tako. the personal here is always friendly and welcoming. kevin and ronald make some of the best food we've ever eaten. the sushi is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. the lady who makes the tempura does this to perfection. we both love the midday haru bento, but today my man has decided to have the natsu bento. as usual, our meals were absolutely wonderful! our server, kathy was attentive and friendly. tako is a great restaurant and if you like to eat Japanese, that is the place to go."
