"It seems like an unlikely place for good sushi but it is surprisingly good! it is also very affordable for the quality. The atmosphere is alright, nothing too interesting but the great food makes up for it. Also the service is very great, they always greet you with smiling faces. I recommend for all sushi lover."

"My daughter and I went in to check out their fresh fish and maybe get a few pounds for dinner. So many people have recommended this store as the best place to get fresh seafood in the area.I was instantly repulsed by the stench of stale cigarette smoke when we entered. There was no one in the store but us and a middle aged man in the kitchen area who said “Hello” and that was it. The kitchen was dirty and not well kept and it was only 11:00 am. I wouldn’t eat anything coming out of that kitchen.Then we walked past the deep freezer of old forgotten sea creatures that I don’t think could possibly have been displayed less appealingly. It was sad.Then I saw where the sadness truly lives in this little baitshopesque space. The fresh fish. Ha! All species were tossed in the dirty showcase with price cards from the ‘70s poked through their drying flesh. This is where that frozen stuff to your left comes from and I’m pretty sure the reason most folks who seem to like the food here is that it’s fried in batter. None of what I saw would have been served to anyone’s liking in a simple browned butter sauce.We lasted a few minutes and the smell and the willies I was getting from the crud on the floors and serving surfaces did me in. I wish It was betterHaving lived on both coast’s I’m always expecting too much from the seafood in the midwest… but this… whew!"

"Sushi was fresh, creative, and decent customer service. Restaurant was not busy on a Monday night at 6pm. Atmosphere is casual and similar to other sushi restaurants in the area. Decent cold sake selection but one hot sake. We will return and enjoy Hoshi Sushi again. Enjoy!Parking: In a strip mall with plenty of parking"
