"Authentic Korean restaurant, plenty of choice: from spicy to slightly spicy food. Inspite of the long line-up and wait (no reservations) and few parking spaces, people come. We have been here several times. The place seems like a favorite place for both young and the not-so-young crowd. However, it is not a place to relax and stay on for chats. The place is small and conversations can be heard in the next table. Service, food, and value are tops."

"If you are going to eat there (dine in), yes, this is probably one of the best places in Ottawa (C'est Suisha is another one). Now if you are doing take out (what is pretty much the only option due to COVID-19 and the lockdown),...forget it. It is just plain terrible. They do not have the basic understanding of supply chain and their own output capacity. I place an order for pick up Dec 31st at 7:00pm. I called Dec 30th, at least 24h in advance and placed an Omakase order for 5 people (over $220 order). Got there to pick it up at 7:00pm. By 7:40pm I was told my order had not even started. So they were running at least an hour to an hour and a half behind. I get it that COVID made things a bit harder but we have been in this for a year now. As any decent, well managed restaurant, you should know your capacity, your output and how many time slots an order of a certain size takes and how many of these slots you can fit in an hour based on your workers. They do not have that concept at all. Tons of people cancelled their orders on the spot on the 31st. Huge mess. Unacceptable IMHO as a customer. Again, if you do not care if your order will be one hour or two late and you have nothing better to do so waiting outside in zero degree weather for two hours is fine and fun, you will certainly be rewarded with great food. Now if you value your time and expect a Japanese restaurant to honour their delivery time like any Japanese business would do, definitely look somewhere else."

"This past weekend, my wife and I dined at Sushi Kanata. There were some +30 patrons already seated and eating over the lunchtime while we were there with a number of people coming in and out, picking up take-outs. However, the proprietor and her two servers did a fine job serving the eight or so tables of customers which include two large table holding a total of 18 diners. The food was well prepared and nicely presented! It did take a little longer to get our fried bananas (dessert); but it was worth it! We were happy that we did get every dish that we had asked for. We find that Sushi Kanata has the most consistent and best tasting sushi in anywhere between Bell's Corner to Stittsville! My suggestion is to go for the All-You-Can-Eat meal and order a little of this and a little of that; if your not familiar with fine Japanese dining!"
