"Came here for lunch the other day and to my surprise they were quite busy! Staff were friendly and prompt. I ordered the fried noodles with beef and vegetables. The vegetables were lovely and had quite the variety. The sauce unfortunately wasn't the best I've ever had but not terrible either. Everyone else was super happy with their meal choices with plenty to choose from to satisfy meat eaters and vegetarians!"

"Went with another couple using Groupons. Manager was really friendly and helpful explaining how it would work. We couldn't fault the either the quality of the food or the quantity of the food. At times it was a little hard to catch wait staff eyes to hand in our next order (very easy, just order off a piece of paper) but that was not eventful in the scheme of things. BYO is available but at $8 corkage/bottle perhaps not the cheapest in town. That said, we will definitely return both for another round of yum cha (either lunch or dinner) and to try the a la carte menu. Only thing missing was that they don't serve coffee."

"Ever since my favourite Thai Restaurant in Sydney closed its doors, and cut me off from its signature dish of Pad Siew, I have wandered the lonely streets seeking its successor. Now after two years I have found it. Assamm-Thai in the basement of the QVB in Sydney's Central Business District.When the waitress placed my Pad Siew on the table, I was almost overwhelmed with joy. Not too much oil. Plenty of seafood. Fat, flat noodles just right, not too thick and not too skinny. It wasn't drowning in sauce. It was prepared by a chef who understands the dish and Thai Street Cuisine.Should I rush over and hug him. Should I leave a giant tip. I settled for coming back often.There are other dishes on the menu, and desserts, but I had eyes only for Pad Siew. With this I chose to have a pot of Green Tea.QVB is accessible by bus, train and foot, and soon, by tram. There are accessible toilets in the building."

"Came to HOTRS on Friday 13th May with a table of 14 waiting for us as we had booked a work evening out. Greeted politely at the door. Shown to the table and asked if we wanted drinks pretty quickly. We had the Wave menu. With an allergy of fish and a vegetarian in the group, we had a fantastic range within the starter, a main veggie wave, a main meat wave and dessert. Drinks were made and served quickly. Food was brought out and cleaned away in a timely manner. There was plenty of stuff I’d never tried before so was pleasantly surprised by the variations. It was like a tapas style set up where there were plentiful little dishes that we could take from and add to our plates. Food was very flavourful, and the drinks (mostly cocktails) were well made. I cannot comment on value for money as work arranged it, but all in all it was a good experience. Lastly the staff were very accommodating, happy to help and seemed to be in good spirits throughout the night. I would recommend. Ps I’m your 600th review!"

"Visited this wonderful Malaysian Restaurant where the food was beautiful authentic Malaysian and the staff were absolutely fantastic. The lovely owner was very hands on and made sure all the customers were very well looked after. The food was fantastic with my favourite being the...salt and pepper mud crab. Very reasonably priced and family friendly! Definitely a place to visit when in the valley chasing a good feed !"
